Paintsville Vs. Raceland
Scotty_Bronson Wrote:How long is Morgan out?

He's back this week
That will be a big help. We really missed him last week. On Roy's TD run, with him in the game I dont think that TD exhists.
The tape has been broken down and analyzed. I've got some bad news for you Raceland Ram fans. Our concession stand is pretty weak compared to what you are used to at home. So either pack yourselves dinner or eat at one of our fine restaurants in Paintsville. You could just stop at Big Melon's for the coldest beer in town!!

Raceland's consession stand puts Paintsville's on a running clock before the coin flip
Not coming to Paintsville to eat , Raceland is coming to chew gum and whoop butt and we are all out of gum so just gonna pass out the butt whoopin

You might not like what you find when you get down there :flame:
Tigers name the score.
You can't whip what you can't catch. Raceland's overall team speed is no match for Paintsville's. On top of that we have you outsized at every line position. I hope your coaches have taught your lineman to stay low because if they stand up in their first step like they've done all season they will get blown off the ball. I hope your kicker is up to snuff too. If you give the Tigers a short field they will take advantage. Paintsville's kicker will put the ball in the end zone so the Rams better be prepared to drive the field for 80yrds after every kickoff. Good luck with that butt whoopin' stuff. I kinda doubt it.
It's been a while, but i believe it may be raceland's turn to eat the turf this season. wishing the best for both programs with the remainder of the season. they represent our district well!
This may sound funny to some but I think it will be a close game with Paintsville winning by 14 or more in the end....The Rams plays the run defense very well it is the passing game that hurts them....Seems like every team that beats them in the playoffs is by the pass...If you back in the past few years passing defense is a major factor in the Rams not going to the BIG GAME...From what I seen the Tigers pass when they need to they seem to run the ball a lot and this is why I think it will be a good game...Tigers o-line vs Rams d-line...Lets line them up and see who wins....IMO
...
If Paintsville wins.... will be playing the POLAR BEARS from Bracken County in the first round of the playoffs???

The Polar Bears might be the best mascot in the Commonwealth.

Now wait a second , I've seen one our offensive lineman's come off the ball with his head down the whole time u can't get any lower than that lol . Raceland has the same line the pushed Paintsville around last year other than the center which that postion really concerns me
Oh yeah ! ! How do you like the sound of 8 and 1 ? Oh yeah ! ! ! ! ! That's a phrase you might want to get used to hearing in about 62 hours.
I think you Raceland guys would love to be saying you were 8-1. Better luck next year. I stand by my statement. Watching a game and breaking game film down are two different things. I've watched all of Raceland's games. your linemen stand straight up the majority of the time and their size usually carries them. Not against the Tigers this year. Going to be a long night for you.
:football:
what a great week to be off on Friday night. with so many showdowns here in NEKY!! was all set to go to Johnson central at ashalnd's epic battle..but Fairview big win
last Friday night makes me want to travel just a wee bit down US 23 for a classic 1a showdown...also Fairview has major interest in this game after all it will determine playoff seeding for this year!! cant wait:Thumbs:
ive watched the film and #51 on offensive line for raceland can be handled easily. with help of double teams he may stay in game but overall average. didn't remember seeing him at all last year? not sure if that was just a senior night thing or what?

Hes a junior didn't play a lot last year , had to play both ways last week bc other kids were out hurt but they are back this week
I do think paintsvilles nose guard will give Raceland fits makes me worry about bad snaps too
at 6'5" and around 300 lbs with probably about a 5.0 40, he may be one of the most underrated players on that defense, against Bourbon he gave one of 4A leading passers a lot of trouble
Im hoping last week was just a really bad night for our DL, bc they didnt look anything like the DL we have seen all year. If that same DL shows up, we are in trouble. If as a team, we play to our full potential, we can and will win the game. If we play soft and slow like last week, we will get whipped.
From what I've watched he's a big kid doesn't move real well but we do run up the middle a bunch and he will make that tough just because of he's size
I think raceland has played a tougher schedule than paintsville, I really didn't see Fairview beating them. If both teams play their best football I think raceland wins. With that being said, I am going to take paintsville at home, there will be a couple of bad calls by the refs. In this one that will have people scratching their heads, also luke trimble started his football as a bulldog and once a bulldog always a bulldog, I know he is a tiger now but he will always be a part of the bulbulldog family. Good luck to both teams.
Paintsville is a tuff place to play , they are a good team but Raceland is playing for the season life , I hope Raceland plays with a sense of urgency and with a lot of heart if they do Raceland will win but if not it will be over before halftime
Come on, for you all to say that if Raceland was playing their best and Paintsville was playing their best, that Raceland wins the battle. I think thats a little bit of wishful thinking on the part of the rams fans. Im all about supporting your team but i just dont think that is accurate
Raceland seems to be so predictable on offense. Run middle run middle run middle. Line hasn't blocked worth a crap most of the year. Wont stay with blocks and just gives up. I still think coaches could do a better job play calling but it boils down to the line has to block and hold the holes open long enough for backs to get through. Davidson has done his best but he's just not a throwing QB. being his 1st year its about what you would expect from a kid who's not a QB. We need him playing LB and RB. In order for our run game to open up you have to have a passing game. Ram's do not. hopefully Rams figured something out. Hope its not too late.....Good luck Ram's...............
This is what I've said all year... Until Paintsville beats Raceland (which hasn't happened in about a decade) there is no point in slamming Raceland. If it happens then I'm convinced and I'll agree with you all that Paintsvilles the better team. Now for the linemen I think Racelands line is better coached and more athletic than Painstvilles. The tigers have phelps and Kash but the Rams have walker Christian and Snyder. If the tigers are forced to throw the ball I think Raceland wins.

Name the last time Paintsville beat Raceland ? And this is the same line that dominated them last her so wishful thinking not so much

I just looked it up on the KHSAA website ... August 20, 2004.
I don't think that anyone who knows anything about raceland's program and its history can dispute that they are great, and this year is no exception. Im not disputing that raceland has beaten paintsville for years now. Anyone can win on any given night, especially a team as unpredictable as Raceland. Im just saying that i have watched both teams play this year, and i think paintsville is overall the better team this season. Thats not to say that raceland cant or wont win this friday. They most definitely can. But to say if you put both teams on the field on a given night and they both had their best possible game, that raceland would win, i dont think thats accurate. Ive seen raceland play in person and i have watched plenty of their film, and they are not the overall better team IMO. Same line as last year or not. Paintsville has improved immensely since the last time these two teams have met, and i think that will show this friday.
If our boys at Raceland go out and play their best, dont slack off on any single play, dont turn the football over or leave redzone scoring opportunities give way to a turn over on downs, idc if Raceland loses by 50. I just dont want to lose for a lack of emotion or discipline.
