Don't know much about either team. I Coached Basketball at Powell Co. several years back. I know that has nothing to do with Football but I will pick Powell Co. in a 1 TD Game.

I think this game will be closer than most expect. I think Powell County will have a little bit of a let down this week, after defeating Breathitt last week and pretty much claiming the district championship. Knott County is improving and they are playing with a "nothing to lose" mentality. If Knott can limit their turnovers, they have a chance to make this game competitive, if not Powell wins big. I think Knott holds on to the ball at home, but still doesn't have the firepower to beat Powell. Powell wins 42-28.

when Knott gives up 40 points to Betsy layne you know there defense is no good.. Powell has a strong running game with Harrison in the back field nobody on Knott's defense will stop him. I look for Powell to win 48-12. The Pirates are on a roll and its going to be hard to slow them down.

now ole fatpatty I don't know what kind of mashed taters you be eating but the firepower powell has is like a cannon what have you got a slingshot and the pirates have a arm just why thorw it when nobody can stop the big pirate machine they have a big line and great line to run behind and have the defensive line to stop big plays whatcha you gonna do when those pirates run wild on you

wallaby baby, this is ole fatpat back in the day. I rode the slingshot for fun times. Can't do it anymore due to tighter regulations on weight limits. If you want to see a real cannon come to the GTW Field. We have fans that have a crick in their neck for days after our games. Darn things goes off and you just can't prepare yourself for it. Like the boogy man in a scary movie. You know he's coming and still gets you. Go figure.

Anyway, we enjoy having pirates walk the plank. Reminds me of long john silvers. I believe I will bust your food court wide open and have some long johns baby. Come join me for a patriot victory.

Powell's rushing attack is too strong for Knott to handle. Knott's passing game will give the Pirates fits, but the field at Powell is pretty torn up and doesn't look to be any better for this game with soccer districts being held there this week. Powell plays the better game and will come out on top, Powell 48-22.
