There was not 50 seconds left. There were 35 seconds left. Rifleman should have sat on the ball.

LC either has no clue, or doesnt pay enough attention to matchups. Im watching the game and 4 times you had Rober Dalton 1 on 1 with a DL. Granted Kyle Jamison is a smaller and very atheletic DE, but that is something you have to be able to recognize.

Who's dumber.....Seattle's coach for not giving it to Marshawn lynch or LC's coach for not kneeling the ball?

I csnt find it to post but there is an incredible meme somewhere with Carrol working a starbucks drive through window handing the customer of mocha-chocha-bull-crappe. The caption reads, "should i simply hand this to you or step back 3 feet wnd throw it for no apparent reason". Funny stuff people come up with. I hate it for the Mosley kid. I was really glad to see our defense adjust though. According to ADI, Dalton had 125 yards and 2 TDs in the first half, he was blanked in the second half. Mosely finished with 61 and a TD, only gaining 21 in the second half.
I do like the defensive scheme that LC had of using smaller ineman and running alot of Blitz attacks. But, I think tonight showed them that against a smash mouth football kind of team, that has a good OL and downhill RBs, it keeps their defense on the field too long. That was a heck of a ball game. Glad to finally see us win a "tough one". It hasnt been since the 10-3 win over Pikeville in 2013 that we have won a nail biter. This game should give us alot of confidense going into districts snd the post season.

I agree with the fact that CG beating Fairview doesnt make me feel that Fairview will be able to go 4 quarters with out physicality. On the other hand, we are off next week and Fairview plays Paintsville next week, then have Fairview at home on the 16th and THEN Paintsville on the 23rd.

Paintsville and Fairview play next week at Westwood and Raceland is off so I guess we all know where the Rams will be next Friday night....

He didn't really lose it; it was stripped away by #33 (Walker) and the ball tumbled to the ground and Walker picked it up in stride and returned it 30 yards for the TD.

Last thing I'm gonna say about about this game is , what poor poor sportsmanship from a few of lc players and coaches # 11,5, 42 and a couple more refused to shake hands after the game and their coaches allowed it . No class!!!!!! sometimes there's more to learn about yourself in a loss than a win. Great game to watch GO RAMS

Was not going to say anything about this but sense your dumb@@@ is going to take a shot at our kids, this is why that happened. With less than 2 seconds left all the rams need to do is take a knee but no they call a timeout to celebrate, now that move by your head coach shows no class.

Sounds to me like BOTH coaches did things to keep things from getting out of hand. That was one hell of a minute or so of football. One team fumbles, gets completely deflated, the other team on a high, then less than a minute later, the roll is reversed. Kids dont always handle things the right way. Could it be at all possible, that Salmons took a time out to get his kids regrouped and get their composure in check? Is it not possible that LC's coach kept the kids back due to keeping things from becoming a brawl? Let it go Elsa and Anna, this was a great ball game. Lets not cheapen it by a bunch of pointless garbage of taddle tales.

Were in the Raceland huddle? Could you hear what he was saying?

You are just wrong, when lc got the ball back there were 29 seconds left, this was after they ran the play fumbled raceland scored attempted the extra point, and then done the kickoff, now do you thank all that happened in 6 six seconds.
Lc needed to run about 10 to 15 seconds off the clock with the timeouts that raceland had that is why they ran wide takes more time.

And I wasn't taking a shot at the kids I was telling what happened . Both dalton boys along with a couple other players refused to show sportsmanship or class and shake hands but guess what they are kids and kids make mistakes like that it's your COACH'S responsibility to teach those KiIDS how to act..

My memory is fuzzy on KY high school football. If I remember correctly the clock does not run extra points, so the time remained at :35. If LC got the ball with 29 seconds, they would have only had to kneel the ball 2 times, on first and second down. Raceland only had 2 time outs. Each snap would have run 2-3 seconds before Raceland could call a time out. Assuming each play lasted 3 seconds, when Raceland called their final time out there would have been 23 seconds remaining. I have never seen a play clock less than 25 seconds. Therefore, LC would have not had to snap the ball on 4th down.

There was 50 seconds on the clock when lc got the ball

Nope. 35

I always watch the clock very close and this is exactly the way it was. Raceland's QB was sacked and fumbled, LC recovered the ball, the referee blew the whistle stopping the clock at 51 seconds. Raceland at this time has 2 timeouts remaining.
On LC's first play of their possession, FB runs sweep around left side and is hit near the sideline by a couple Rams, #33 Bailey Walker being one of those making the hit, he rips the ball out, scoops it up while on the move and scampered in from arounrd the 35 or 40 yrd line for the TD. The clock stopped at 35 seconds when he crossed the goal line.
Raceland's first kickoff attempt went out of bounds, thus the clock didnt start. Then after the 5 yrd false start penalty, Raceland kicked the ball on the ground and LC recovered the ball with 32.5 seconds remaining. That's how they started their final drive, then #3 Cameron Webb intercepted a pass and ran it back, almost running the clock out. The clock stopped at 0.7 seconds. Raceland took a knee, and the rest is history. I watch the clock very close because I operate one on occasion.

Two Facts! There were only 35 seconds left. I was walking down the track and said to a coach, they will take a knee with 35 seconds, two time outs don't help. Another fact, we had the ball on the one foot line on a 4th down and snapped the ball and caught them with 12 men on the field and the Ref. put the flag back in his pants. Two big plays that should have cost the Dawgs! 12 men on the field, that's on the coaches and taking knee! Also, the timeout with a couple seconds left was to let the players know, no Bull ___, take a knee and keep your mouth shut and show class.

You misunderstood the post, there were 29 seconds left after the rams scored and took the lead, at that point lc was behind. When lc recovered the raceland fumble there was over 50 seconds left at that point, raceland had 2 timeouts, assuming lc tooked a knee two times and raceland call two time outs it would have been 3ird down and about 15, with about 40 to 45 seconds left. The idea that lc could have just took a knee and run out the clock in that case is just no possable. They had to run about 15 seconds off the clock before they could take a knee.
The raceland player just made a great play when his team needed him most. Congrats to the ram.

If I'm Lawrence Co., my takeaway from this game is... We played well enough to win, but a single mistake cost us a W. Focus on the positives from last night and move forward. A new(and more important) season begins next week.
If I'm Raceland, my takeaway is... Thanks for the early Christmas present, Lawrence Co. :letsparty

If Raceland had a kicker they would've been up or tied anyway . Raceland scored 4 TD lc 3

Bottom line it was great game to be a fan for either side, good hard hitting game that came down to the wire, it was a close game the whole way. You got a love a game were every play matters. Thanks to the young men for putting on a great show!
Congrats again to the rams and good luck the rest of the season.
