Congrats to Shelby Valley.

SV coasted mid way they the first quarter. Offense was clicking and the defense was quick to the ball.

Do you mean Onside Kick? Valley didn't onside kick the ball , it was a squib kick on the ground
#7
SV never attempted an onside kick all night. They actually kicked the ball better than they have all season.

Don't matter to me what ya call it !!! It's was a onside kick attempt !!! Call it squib if ya want !! I'm a Vally fan and bobcat fan . My favorite two teams in the district . Are these two teams . But My thoughts where , why not kick it deep , don't take a chance on getting a player hurt trying to jump on a (squib kick) while trying to run Up the score on a already beat down betsylane . There your players beat them in the ground if ya want! Leslie would love that!!! I'm on your side bud!!! Good win !!

Betsy layne may have been better off playing valley's middle school team. It would have been a closer game.

Betsy Layne is young and lost a lot from the past few years .. Coach Parsons does and outstanding job and will have them back competing in a few years

If Valley wanted to run up the score they would've. Valley squib kicks the ball every single time they kick off because they can't kick it deep. Same as last year and the year before that. It worked on Leslie and Pburg, so why stop it now.

Apparently you have not watched SV much this year. They do not have a good kicking game. Running the score up? The starting running backs ran the ball a total of 9 times, lol
#13
Yea , honestly if Coach Ratliff and Valley wanted to they could have put 70 or more up on Betsy Layne but they have class and play there JV and younger guys the 2nd half ... Apparently Hunter 44 hasn't seen Valley play or does play enough attention to know what is going on

Betsy Layne back to normal, 0-10

No soccer program. No Kickers. Common problem in the mountains.

Make sure the soccer programs stay fat away, too.

Valley has a soccer program. Granted, they're 0-11. But they have one.

Do you really not know the difference between a squib kick and an onside kick? An onside kick is designed to travel a little past 10 yards, hopefully with the ball kicking up high to where the kicking team has a chance to recover. A squib kick is designed to travel further than an onside, but short enough that the other team's slower "blocking" players will have to field the kick, which gives up field position but prevents a long return.

Of course, if you want to see them both play out in person, start up a game of Madden and call for both of them.
