3.Lincoln Co. Best choreagraphy
4. Pulaski Co. Scary what they would sound like on turf.
5. Johnson Central. Yes they are 4A but play music like a 6A.

Funny you say that, a few years ago a Band director did that, because one band member forgot their shoes, so they made them all perform barefooted.
On a turf field, at 2pm, around 90 degrees.
Their feet were so burned they could not perform in the finals.

The dummies on that BOE should have voted for grass instead of turf. :flame:

I just drove by the Sports Den and people was lined all the way to Hwy. 27. So obviously I was like WTF
eriously: So I called to see what was going on. The entire PC band was there getting fitted for cleats, apparently PC football is home Friday night and the band director thinks they will mess the field up. So he wants to make sure his team has secure footing for their competition Saturday at PC field. 28 bands have entered, PC band will have a big time edge in their new Nike Super Grip cleats they are buying with the money raised from last Saturday's competition. It makes sense, blowing a tuba would be easier with secure footing.

Don't worry Jumper, after this Friday nights game there won't be but a few sprigs of that $75,000 left.

I was wondering why Gary Sewell was so happy when I saw him a little while ago.

Why doesnt the band play at halftime or during timeouts anymore or is that a thing of the past everywhere?? I thought thats what a band was for but I havent seen this happen much in years @ PC.

I stopped by to look at the field yesterday during practice. It doesn't look that bad. It has bounced back surprisingly well after the game Friday and band competition Saturday. The rain sure is not helping it out today, but it is nowhere near what they had to play in last year and the year before. It will be messy for sure.

Having turf isn't all that. I know a certain Boyle Coach who wishes it had never been laid

I went to the PC HC game last night, I was very impressed with the way PC handled the field conditions. To be honest I don't know if SW can beat them in those conditions or not. But this I can guarantee, PC is really going to struggle getting a decent team to come to their place and play from here on out. That is by far the worst playing conditions in the state, but it is definitely a home field advantage. One more guarantee, there in not a worse group of school board members in the state. To force kids to play in those conditions for this long is sickening.
