Belfry @ Cabell-Midland 10/02
Is this an inter"state championship" game? Confusednicker:

They have them all the time in Northern Ky. seeing as to how most of the star athletes that attend school at a Northern Ky. School lives in Ohio and they are always playing Ohio schools, I guess to visit family and all, you could attend one of those games.Confusednicker:
CM 24
Belfry 21

I don't think anyone pulls away in this game, it's going to be a physical slobber knocker. That's where CM's depth will come into play. I do think Belfry has the advantage with special teams and the score could be reversed just for that reason. As someone else said, Knox Cath usually don't face teams like belfry with running the ball, but this team will know exactly what they are looking at.

I think that is a very fair prediction

It is also ironic, but neither Belfry or CM have really played a power running team yet this entire season until this game. CM scrimmaged Johnson Central but every team they have faced is heavy spread.

Belfry has faced two spread teams (Tates Creek, KnoxCath), two pseudo-s[read teams that are run first (Pikeville and Harlan County), and one pro style offense (NewCath).

Noone hardly lines up under center any more.
Can't wait to see how our tackles handle Donahue.

I am as well, he's second in tackles for CM and a good size kid. that will be an interesting.

Should make for a great battle. We have two big physical tackles. It'll be fun to watch. Somebody might earn themselves a college look or two if they perform well.
Please tell me there's a live stream of this one going to be on tomorrow night

Nope... just radio feed on http://www.wdhr.com
wvhills Wrote:Just wanted to drop by and say good luck. No need to talk crap about our town, team and or our kids. Remember they are kids alot of them have looked at this thread and laugh at the way parents and or grownups get on here and talk smack when really it's the kids who play the game. Remember good luck and hopefully both teams come out of this battle with no injuries. Looks like both teams are headed for the playoffs in their respective states.
I just wanted to inform you that on the wv website there's a lot of trash talk going on about our boys. These kids from WV are at Belfry for several reasons. #1 because of the excellent coaching. The coaches do not curse them or be little them if they mess up. #2 Coach Haywood practices what he teaches these guys. #3 You don't have to worry who is going to be the next coach. I know in some areas in wv if the parents get mad at a coach, he will be replaced. #4 They are getting an excellent education. Coach Haywood expects good academics. He holds each boy to a high standard. #5 If one of his players foul up in the community, Coach Haywood doesn't just depend on the parents to discipline that kid, but they know they are going to sit out not just one game, but several games. It wouldn't matter if it was a state championship game. He expects good morals from his players. I could go on and on, and I don't know about you, but if my kids or grandkids are happy and look forward to going to school, then it makes me happy. I know for a fact that the juniors on this team won the first middle school state championship for Belfry. Some have even played midget league together. They do not transfer in and out like a revolving door. Just wanted to let someone know we've heard the things being said about our kids too.

Been a decade or more since Whitley has had a big game.

No!
Whitley County had a kid who had rabies when I was in school. Okay not really but he did growl quite a bit, and seemed fairly angry. He was really good.

What was his name? maybe I need to recruit some of his kinfolk.
Sometimes I wonder if the trolls o here are from the other site. Every Belfry thread there is actually about the ballgames. I like free speech, but this is getting stupid.
Yall are hurting my feelings. Here I am putting in work as a troller, and not charging you a dime, and no one even appreciates me. My 3a pick is Boyle, but if Belfry wins this or keeps it within 7 ill elevate them to number 1.
Belfry will win this game in a close score like 17 to 14 or 24 to 21.... This Belfry team
is better than given credit for just wait and see... GO BIG RED.....

I'd respect you more if you'd stop being so nice Confusednicker:
