How does everyone think PCC will do without Beverly this season.

I think they'll win the 14th.
Several teams have a good shot though.

I think they win the 14th.
Still plenty of talent and arguably the best athlete in the region.

Perry struggled mightily last year the two games Braxton missed. KCC could have beaten them by 100 and there was a 26 point swing against Hazard. Perry has some talent coming back but zero point guard play! Tobler is a great athlete (should have played football, his best sport) but not a great basketball player. Perry will have a hard time getting him the ball in scoring position. Blair is probably just as good athlete as Tobler. Neace and Whitmore outside shooting will be missed.

Perry will still be in the top of the region when it counts.

so when does it count??? considering perry hasn't been to the state tourney since 2011, i'm assuming you aren't talking about the end of the season.

Since no one but Knott has been since 2011... I guess the whole region may as well shut down.

Hard to replace a point guard of that caliber.

Perry will not be the same team. Not even close. Now having said that they will have a good year but I do not think they are a contender in the 14th Region at this point.

This team may be better, your not relieing on one player this team will get better as the season goes on with the schedule they play to me Blair the best player on the team. The key to this team will be if Turner and Dunn can score and if they will rebound. It will be hard for anyone to go to Knott County and win the region period. Perry needs to find 2 good players off the bench to provide support. Im say this team goes 20-8.

The 14th is not strong enough for that to be true. They will go in as the favorite.

The region is weak but their will be 3 or 4 teams thats way ahead of the others. {erry never lost a summer game and I know you cant go by that, but This team to me will be better down the stretch come March your not depending on one guy.

Perry will be fine and more of a team. They relied on Beverly and he was an excellent leader on the floor. The tendency to rely on him hurt players like Blair, etc that could have helped or been more of a factor. That being said,Beverly had the desire to want the ball and win and I think other players stepped back instead of doing more of their own thing,JMO.

I agree Rock, for the past 5 years Beverly has been the primary ball handler for PCC. In those 5 years there has not been a team in the 14region that has depended on their point guard and best player as much as PCC. He probably had the ball in his hands 99% of the time. I just see PCC struggling at the guard position this year.
