It was a great game between two hard nosed teams. Not trying to take anything away from the Hounds. Figured it would be a battle all the way and it was.

If the Warriors can get that passing game going, they will be a tough out in the playoffs.

If I'm not mistaken did Corbin start two freshman LB tonight.

I agree. Southwestern is a heck of a ball team. The point I was trying to make was that the refs, although terrible, were a wash in my opinion. Southwestern deserved to win. That being said, after last weeks game I was wondering about the long term viability of Sizemore at qb. He REALLY grew up after the first quarter tonight. Making quick decisions, throwing downfield, trucking defenders. He left a couple kids laying on the sideline who got up slow after he hit them. Once the line gets the kinks worked out the hounds will become a very tough team. They're pretty tough right now. Congrats to southwestern, good luck going forward.

This old warrior will be pulling for the Hounds the rest of the season. The sizemore kid is tough as nails give him time to grow into the position. Corbin is far from done this season.

I've scouted Corbin twice this year 1 on film and the other at pigskin and the best athlete on that team is on crutches.. Not even sure of his name.. #1 and #2 probably not QB material..

We also start a couple freshmen, one being the d- back the two big gains were thrown against down the sidelines, great calls by your guys side by the way. One of our Qb's is a sophomore who didn't play last year because of a stress fracture in his leg. We're a young team our selves trying to jell before district begins.:Cheerlead

This just shows that Southwestern may not be the great team that their fans pumped them up to be. Flags did really hurt them in this game as well.

Most all fans Will pull for his or her team, hoping to end up in Bowling Green come end of the season. Would not be much of a fan if you didn't. Very few on here come on and say WE'RE #2, but we try Harder. LOL...

I believe that he is getting a dig in at Coach Whitaker, which is absurd if you ask me.

Corbin has a great chance to get back in the winning column this week.

I know Mayfield shouldn't, and most likely want over look this Red Dawg team. If they do it's a long trip home nursing their bruised bodies...

Mayfield has 1 of the best backs in the state, but he was injured last night, and wont be back for awhile. He is a difference maker.

I think that Larry French is one of the best coaches in high school football.. Class act

French's record speaks for itself

Well according to Southwestern's radio fella and the sports writer for the Commonwealth, Southwestern was penalized 16 times for 98 yards : not including the 45 yards of offsetting.

South Western shows again why they are one of the states top teams. Another great win on the road. Not many teams in this state will go to Corbin and find a way to win. Corbin is a great team, probably top 15 in the state.
09-20-2015, 10:13 PM
Southwestern might be top 50.

Thought all year the SW/Pulaski game is going to be worth the price of admission and the playoff winner might be playing for a championship!

I agree, but North Laurel could possibly beat either if they were at home. But I still think South Western is the team to beat. I think when you factor in offense, defense, and special teams they are the most complete team. I'm honestly not trying to offend anyone, just how I see it.:disappoint:

Southwestern is about as hideous as Jim Romes avatar. For gods sakes put Jenna Jameson up instead.
09-21-2015, 12:18 AM
Pulaski County is by far the best in that region. Southwestern and North are playing for 2nd.

Funny. Danville did and did it to the tune of 20-0

Nothing against danville but how many times did corbin fumble the snap in that game? A group of corbin fans told me at the concession stand that it was 9 times.

On paper, yes PC very well may be the best team in the region. But how soon we forget last year. Last year, game 1, PC without their QB we dominated them from start to finish. Game 2, SW without their starting RB, possibly the best freshmen RB in the state was in the game start to finish and had every chance to win the game. I'm sure PC feels they are better than they were last year but I know South Western is much better especially on defense.:truestory:

If that makes Corbin feel better, more power to them.
09-21-2015, 02:25 PM
Not trying to make Corbin feel better, but that is a huge factor in the 20-0 win Danville had at Corbin. It's a tough place to go play, if it was played at Danville and there were 9 fumbles it should have been 48-0.
