Two jags score their first varsity touchdowns for the jags. Matt Sizemore and dalton smith. 49-13 1:55 left in 3rd. Under another lightning delay

This was reported over the radio but was obviously wrong. Jags keep rolling.

Called the game in 3rd quarter..lightening. Final 49-¹3 NL. Man - 6 different kids scored TD's tonight. NL in good shape with RB's. Best FB blocking back in the tri county area. NL's - O'line tuff!! Nelson & McWhorter both had good yardage tonight. Wish the weather would have cooperated tonight!

North needs to play a good football team. Really see where they are. I know larkey said Harrison was a good team. They are not. They have some good athletes but not a good football team. Who north got next on schedule?

They have Mason Co. next and they are pretty weak as well. North's district is way down this year, but that can't be helped by North. What can be helped is level of competition outside of district. It is looking that North could be tested by Montgomery Co. the last game of the reg season but a lot can happen between now and then. Larkey has done a great job of turning the North program around but now its time for the next step in post season. North will need a major upgrade in scheduling before they can become serious contenders in 5A playoffs.

Harrison County is not good, and its going to be a long season for West Jessamine.

@ Mason County 0-3
Lincoln County 0-3
Harlan County 1-2
@ Whitley County 1-1
Letcher Central 1-2
@ Perry Central 2-1
Montgomery County 2-1
So in other words, barely anyone. Montgomery is probably the best team on the schedule and its the last game of the year so im not sure how any North will play in that one. I think the game at Whitley is the district title game after seeing Perry and Harlan struggle badly and Letcher definitely not playing to there potential. If North can stop the pass and Whitley doesn't fix the defense by then, that should be a win as well.
I think they probably go 9-1 with a district title or 8-2 with a runner up at worst. Then they play South again in the playoffs in first round and kill them once again, and then get throttled by Southwestern because they will have not seen anyone like them all year. If they do get past SW, it will definitely end with PC in the region title game.

I understand scheduling light when you are trying to build but the time has come to step up the competition. There's an art to scheduling, some learn how to do it properly, some don't. We will see.

Not sure how bad an easy schedule hurts you at the end of the season come playoff time? I am also not sure you can compare High School football to the NFL, that being said: and what I do know: Of the 12 teams in the NFL last season that made the play off's (this is 2014), only 4 had strength of schedule over .500. The other 8 playoff teams got into post season in part to playing a weaker schedule. Dallas, Detroit, Houston & Pittsburg played the 4 weakest schedules, 3 of them made the play off's & the one that didn't Houston, finished with a winning record. Just a fat fact to chew on!! :truestory:
