The Kash legend and hype continues to grow but if Pikeville plays smart OR hangs on to the ball Paintsville has zero chance to win this game. Having said that, Paintsville has to love their chances in a potential rematch if Phelps is healthy. A worse case of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory you will never see.

Both teams play there tails off ... I look for these two to meet again down the road for another Classic matchup

WHAT A FREAKIN GAME!!!!! Kash hit at the 2 stays up with one hand on the ground and forces way into the endzone for the win.
Thanks Pikeville Panthers and Paintsville Tigers for one of the best games i have ever witnessed. Kudos to both teams for battling to the end. Neither team should have lost this game.

Kash might have made the winning play and got so many yards or touchdowns but Pikeville D exposed him. He's no 4-star and definately not a D1 player

Great battle and congrats to Paintsville on the W...
#15 is a fantastic athlete which many already know. The offensive and defensive lines of Paintsville do a great job as well enabling Kash to do "what he does."
Always give the linemen some love folks. They are the unsung heroes of the game. And I'm happy to report #15 honored his o-line in the post game interview as all good leaders do...
So what are the chances these 2 teams meet again in the playoffs? Would make for a heckuva rematch.

Not so fast...Kash won it after Pikeville failed to put it away with the game in hand.

Congratulations to Paintsville! Pikeville's coaching staff needs to step it up. Can't play 15 kids on offense and defense and expect to not get worn down. Yes, there are excellent players out there, but there's talent on the sidelines. Wake up Chris! Can't depend on recruits all the time. Build a team who will fight for each other.

And if they "exposed" him, they had no answer for him.
And I'm only taking into consideration what he did on the defensive side of the ball......

I guessed now we know who everybody got to beat in the east now. Congratulations Paintsville. :Cheerlead

No excuses here. Paintsville won it fair and square. Congrats Paintsville. These two just might meet up again, and it just might be a different ending.

Hey you got something right anyway. I copied and paste my reply to that loss below for you to see how to lose with some class next time.

[Image: http://www.bluegrassrivals.com/forum/ima.../icon1.gif] I am as big of a Blackcat Fan as any, but I also call it like I see it. I said preseason we would win 4-5 games. We simply had to many holes to fill coming into this season. Pikeville has a solid team on both sides of the ball, but for those of you gauging their team on this win, don't read to much into it. Prestonsburg is in "rebuild mode". Pikeville must stay focused each game, and if so, they will be a strong contender to make the trip to Bowling Green. The loss of Jarrell at QB was huge. Breaking in a new inexperienced QB coupled with replacing all but 1 of your O-line is a great task. Especially when you also lose 7 of 8 leading tacklers on the opposite side of the ball. We will see if the coaching staff can develop this young team throughout the season. A few of you seniors, you know who you are, are going to have to step up and take control of this team on the field. Help your young brothers on the field. They will learn from their mistakes only if you help guide them. The good news is Pikeville is probably the best team we will face this year. Don't get me wrong we still have some stiff competition left in the likes of Shelby Valley, Leslie County, Lawrence County, and Hazard. Pikeville exposed every weakness this team has, but we still have time to correct them before district play. Good luck to Chat and the Panthers the rest of the season. Blackcats get ready for the next one. Hold your heads high. It is not the accomplishments we have that make us the men we become, but the struggles we work through and overcome.

Pikeville didn't take advantage at all...Paintsville lost their starting rb and still won this game. Great game though by both teams.

Great game
Kash Daniel is a Man-Beast!
Pikeville's lack of a passing game killed them...
Paintsville lost Phelps but Pugh to me looked like he was playing hurt... he looked like he was about 75% at best and didnt have his normal explosion.
Two very evenly matched teams and Kash proved the difference. One of the best small school regular season games I have seen in a while.
