After making comment about prestonsburg being a low scoring school compared to pikeville be a top 10 school and pikevile is a vibrate community that people from pburg should move to. I now understand.

PHSForever Wrote:Lol. That's funny. Pugh, Charles (both of them), Rhodes, Dials, Vanderbeck (been here since elementary school), Coleman, Lucas, etc all from Pikeville. Jarrell transferred, true. And so did Goble]Collins I believe is a returner, I think someone told me he went to school at Pikeville up til Junior high?[/B] Can anyone confirm for me? Most of out talent is homegrown and attended school here forever. I love how people always think one or two transfers always translates to "living on other schools talent to win". Keep right on reaching for the stars over there in Knott County. One of these days y'all will be relevant in football.
That is exactly what I have been told more than once. Went to Pikeville up til Jr. high, and then transferred to BL., Wanted to come back home this season.
Cannot believe someone would get their panties in a wad over a couple of transfers.

"Vibrant" "they", "they're". You're making Knott County look really good, buddy. Calm down. JP is a master of getting under people's skin, but you're making it WAY too easy.

I will take your comment as a joke. From you "Keep right on reaching for the stars over there in Knott County. One of these days y'all will be relevant in football."

PHS Wins this one...
Prestonsburg: 30
Pikeville: 29
If you remember this game got rained out at Pikeville last year and it was moved to Saturday. I believe if the game continued the same day, Prestonsburg wouldve held the momentum to win.
Since its at Home this year with a clear forecast, Prestonsburg may be a few short of talent wise this year but they are not yet to be knocked off. This one will be another close game and I reversed the score from last year.
Good luck to both teams and lets have an injury free game and I predict a showdown on the "P" tomorrow.

Didn't it flood last year? I may not be remembering clearly, but I thought it flash flooded big time.
It would depend on which side of the insult you are on, I believe.

Granny Bear Wrote:^^There was some flash flooding in some areas, yes. However that was later that evening. The game was postponed in the 1st qtr fairly early. My sarcasm was to the contention that the rain somehow stole momentum neither team had it yet when play was suspended. No doubt Prestonsburg's community was hit hard, and as much flash flooding and flooding history as Pike County has had, I would never make light of that.

As for the insults part, once again, mild. I've seen a lot worse allowed on this site, ma'am.
Anyway, I look forward to this being a hard hitting, tough as nails game. Like I said in an earlier post, no one who knows Pburgs history really believes they will just let any school roll over them. Hard nosed and great competitors always. Just happen to believe Pikeville again has the edge this year and will win.

I remember #1Blackcat Fan driving in that mess. He stopped by to pick up his woman from work because he was worried about her driving. (I THINK this is the same time)
The insults may be mild, but it is off topic and is in violation of one of the rules.
If you must insult somebody, try insulting me!
After all, I live in Harlan County; you could throw a ton of crap in my direction.

^ should help the defense. Still eager to hear how the secondary will be.

^C. Jarrell will be an excellent addition. Clay Slone was very good last year. Pikeville has a lot of very good athletes back there with good speed.
