Raceland all the way down at 6th? I can't tell if you really think that highly of your top 5 or if you're just poking at the Rams a little bit.

And yeah, beyond my top 3, there isn't much to challenge the Devils this year. I don't know how Boyd Co. would feel about it, but I wouldn't mind seeing Russell end it's series with the Lions for a while and replace them with someone like Wheelersburg, Cabell Midland, Huntington High, or even JC. I'm all for strengthening that schedule.

Russell schedule needs some strengthening and on the Ashland topic 3-6 are interchangeable but Raceland is the smallest of them also. On paper 3 teams can beat Russell 4 maybe Greenup. Ashland has 6 teams and 7 if you throw in Greenup.

Ashland opens with a really tough four game stretch again this year. At least they don't have to make the trip up to GW. Do the Tomcats start fast out of the gate, or will we see a duplicate of last year's 1-3 start? And if they do start out slowly again, how long before the torches and pitchforks come out?

According to the KHSAA it is Pike Central here in KY.. at which case their ranking is probably exactly right

I guess they are the FTH of Ohio.:please:

Not so sure about that

Last year:
Lucasville Valley 21
Fleming County 18

2 weeks later
Russell 28
Fleming County 21

With that said, I think you can definitely argue they would beat either Russell or Ashland

That's a bit of a stretch. LV is very good, though. They're a top 10 team in their division with multiple all-state caliber players, including their QB. Raceland will have their hands full for sure.

T-CATS Wrote:I guess they are the FTH of Ohio.:please:

I'm not sure I'm ready to go that far, but they are a really good team. This is one of the toughest schedule's Raceland has played in a number of years, IMO.

If this helps:
5A School

Went 9-3 last year.. played Lynn Camp and beat them 63-0.
Beat Morristown West in the 1st Round.
Lost to South Doyle who lost in the 3rd Round after to the eventual State Champions

Finished with a Rating of 28.8 on Calpreps, Bell finished with an 18.0

Open 2015 with a 15.5 rating (26th in their class), Bell opens with a 17.8

Sounds like it should be a [pretty comparable matchup. Calpreps has Campbell County currently as the 2nd best team on Bell's schedule.

8: Glasgow
7. Larue COunty

2) Williamsburg
3) Hazard
4) Rockcastle
5) Danville
6) Lexington Christian
7) Mason County
8) Middlesboro
9) Perry Central

Purely a guess, I don't have much knowledge on what any of these teams return.
