Johnson Central 2015
#61
What did you think about the scrimmage with Cabell Midland. And what good and bad things did you see
#62
As long as you all down in Johnson County will stand behind the Eagles no matter what and the Eagles will continue to work hard and not believe the hype it sounds like good thing are getting ready to happen

If anyone knows soft it should be pjdoug. He has watched his team be pushed around by Belfry the last two years. I guess he has "little boy" syndrome. Being second best team in your county will cause you that.

Kay Rock You, must remember LC must grow a pair before they can schedule a game with JC. Let alone win one. Just shows what mental illness look like when you do not take your medication.

My team hasn't played against Belfry in several years:oooo:

We are gonna be okay. We threw bombs repeatedly vs CM. just for fun.

Was told today that Johnson Central has picked up a week three game at home against Oscar Smith High School out of Chesapeake Virginia.

JC had a solid program, but they have some fans who give them a bad name. Why do you keep calling Lawrence County out. Why don't you guys go play Trinity or Bowling Green? It's a different story when it's you going to a bigger school. Johnson Central it's one of the largest schools in 4A where Lawrence County is one of the smaller 3A schools. Don't be a bully, it takes away from what makes the Golden Eagles great.

That's absolutely a huge pickup if true!

Oscar Smith is one of the best programs in Virginia regardless of class and has been Nationally Ranked.

Long trip...but about as good of competition as you could find.

I'm waiting for someone to say we should've picked up the Redskins instead.

But for those people who think this team is another cream puff coming from faraway lands to take their beating...MaxPreps national ranking 671, #18 in the state of Virginia, 6A state champions in 2011 with an enrollment of 2171. Definite upgrade in the schedule. Between that, Lexington Catholic, Belfry, and Ashland, we shouldn't see any talent level in the playoffs we haven't already seen.

Already have two guys with D-1 offers including Junior QB Shon Mitchell who has been offered by Virginia Tech

Don't have to go that far. Lucasville Valley in Ohio are the Bengals:eyeroll:

According to Wikipedia, Oscar Smith has lost only two regular season games in the past 10 years and finished last season 12-2. Johnson Central has really upgraded its schedule this season. It is safe to assume that the Golden Eagles will be the underdogs against Oscar Smith. I doubt that they will face a stronger team this season.

Maxpreps shows that Oscar Smith will play JC at JC on September 12.

They have one of the better entrances in HS football I must add. JC will have their hands full in this one.

Open weeks have to match. They did land a 6A team from VA that has been nationally ranked and were in the same situation as JC. Glad it worked out that both teams were able to fill their schedule.

Confirmed... Was going to cost them over 10,000 in transportation to get here by bus.

Apparently someone in Virginia Beach failed to look at a map before agreeing to this game. Very disappointing, but if those are your finances, they are (although that's one expensive bus). Guess they must be too good for the ol' yellow dog. Although I suspect what you'll see in the next couple weeks is them announcing they found someone to play on TV, which I read was apparently their goal before scheduling JC (like their appearance vs. Booker T. Washington, which didn't turn out so well for them). Hoping we pull a miracle and find ANYBODY to play that week - anybody who'll actually come to play a home and home at JC, that is.

Just a rumor I heard that Paintsville tried to get a game scheduled with JC and JC refused. Hmmmmm Paintsville still the king in Johnson County! :hilarious:
