What a game for Cardinal fans. Justin Porter was on fire the first half. Had 19oints at halftime. Not sure how many he ended with but played well. He proabley had 6 or 7 boards to go with it and he is only a freshman. May also played well for the Cards, but we in Inez have come to expect nothing less from this Stud. Spud played one of his better floor games of the year, and as usual his 15-20 ft jumper was there. Good game all around for every Cardinal. Way to bounce back from a disapointing loss. Good game Cards!
Betsy Lane was really not impressive at all tonight. The big man "Kidd" is the most over-rated kid in the region if tonight was his typical game. I was un-impressed with the top seeded team in the 58th district tonight.

SC played well tonight, Porter is a huge asset knocking down the jumper. Before teams just played 2-3 zone and hoped May didn't get hot, w/Porter's long range shooting teams can't key so much on Brandon. Danny Hinkle pulled down some huge rebounds him and Shawn Johnson are really starting to be a inside presence for the cards. Spud was a one man press breaker as usual. Good game for SC I hope they can get a little momentum going into the districts.

what were kidds stats...he must of had a bad game for you to say he is the most overrated player in the region because he isnt overrated kidd is a tough player..hes hard to stop in the post and can pull down alot of boards every game..but congrats to SC..i gotta say one more thing FLOYD!!!!!!!!!!

Very good to hear my cards pulled this one out. I didnt predict them to win this game, but i was wrong. Im glad to see justin porter have a big game. I always knew he had big game capabilities with his outside stroke. Id love to see him keep hittin through the district and hopefully the regional tourny!

Was the game in Inez or Betsy Layne?

How's Brandon Thacker? I don't like to hear about anyone getting hurt. I hope he's Ok.

Didn't hear anything during the game, but I think I did see him leaving during the game. I guess he was going to get it checked out.

I have to say this outcome totally surprises me. BL has been playing great as of late. Congrats to the Cardinals.

congrats SC, best wishes to Thacker

What about "Bird Man" justin Collins, he was the only bright spot for BL. He put 14 pts up in less than 3 mins, Coach Rose has got to find him some more PT. SC looked great, they could have beat anyone tonight

Brandon Thacker's ankle is not broke they thought he had a distal tib/fib fracture but I think that the radiologist disagreed with that. As for Kidd being overrated that is BS he had a bad game everyone has a bad game. He has went out there week after week and proved that he can live up to his rating as one of the best in the 15th.
Can anyone honestly say that they have never had an off game.
Congrats to Cardinals, I think Thackers injury threw the bobcats off a little bit tonight. BL did not play as good as they have been playing, I hope we see a different team come district time.
:getwell: Get Well Soon Thacker.

I don't care how greast he played other weeks. Kidd is not one of the premire player in the region bottom line. I have seen 2 other big men who were alot better than Kidd. (Thompson of LC & Rice of JC) I'm not sold he could even start for some teams in the region.

Congrats SC!

Maybe you should check out the cats pause book because BK is 8th in the state in rebounding. So he had a off game Big Deal. That dosen't stop the scouts from calling because make no mistake about it they do! I am not saying he is the very best but give credit where it is due. He is alot better than you say he is, How many games have you actually watched him play? You said you have seen 2 better than BK maybe. Kidd has drive, determination, and he plays team ball, that is what makes him good! Brandon Thacker and Pat Stapleton are also amoung the best in the region. What do you have to say about that? It dosen't really matter what you think because BL knows their good and haters like you only make them play harder.

Not to beat a dead horse but this just again shows that anyone in the region can win on any given night. Don't give up on the cards. They can still make a run. Great win for SC. Tough opener in the district though. Good luck Cards

Don't count Betsy Layne out, they've been playing awesome basketball. Thacker's injury early in the first quarter left them a little dazed but with the good news he received today everything should fall back in place for district tournament. Keep up the good work Bobcats. Wishing Brandon Thacker a speedy recovery.

Before you start to point fingers, let's see Sheldon got beat by Allen Central! Really, your cardinals will not even make it out of the district! 9 out of 10 games, Brandon will have his usually night. I would say that the bobcats go farther than your cardinals.

Well guess what. Betsy Layne got beat by Sheldon Clark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We might not make it out of the district, but we are in the toughest district in the region! if BL were in the 57th they would be the bottom seed in the tourny!
