Just like to hear some predictions.....Will Jc take another win over Paintsville???
02-20-2006, 09:52 PM
If Jc plays like they did in the second half of this last game and they did in the first match up i'll say them. IF paintsville plays they way they did at Richmond i'll pick them.

This game is gonna be filled with if's!!!
For Paintsville, If Russell is healthy and they stay out of foul trouble, I think they will win.
If JC can get the pace of the game up it will favor them more.
I think Paintsville will take care of business though and prevail!

Two words - Foul trouble.
If a couple of Lady Tigers get into trouble, it will be hard for them. I luv their top six though. Hard-nosed, gritty players. The Carrols are GREAT!
I am going with my girls though JC 58 - PHS 52.
Tough match up!

Sould be a GREAT game. But, it is hard to beat a team three times in a row. Especially when they are so evenly matched. Can't wait to see it!

A lot will depend upon if PHS can get Kendra some help in the backcourt and bringing the ball up against the press. If PHS gets Kendra and Chelsee 12-15 open looks apiece, PHS wins.

Johnson Central by 8!

Paintsville has a hard time handling a good press. The way JC plays their press. Their's also one more key, I would give the coaching advantage to Coach Wireman. He'll be able to come up with a good game plan.

GO TIGERS!
GO TIGERS!

Sorry, but it will be Johnson Central in this one, because it is being played at Johnson Central. Hard to win there, especially in the district tourney.

It's time for Coach Baldwin's luck to change, and get to the region. Painstville by four, decided by a two-point field goal with 0:08 seconds remaining.

it's hard to beat anyone at home, especially during tourney time.

its hard to beat a team three times in one season. however if Chessie Griffith shows up to play JC should be able to just that

If Chelsee Jarrell stays out of foul trouble, and hits the boards along with The Carrols having a great game Paintsville will win this one in a close game. Pville 62 JC 58

Paintsville is gonna need everyone clicking on all cylinders. Chelsee is gonna have to crash the boards hard and get more looks at the basket. Kendra is gonna have to get those open looks from mid range and penetrate to the hoop. Russell is gonna have to be 100% to help break JC's press and have a good night shooting. Laura is gonna have to hit those short corner shots that she usually does, and Katie is gonna have to keep hitting her shots that she has as of late. Most of all, they are ALL gonna have to stay out of FOUL TROUBLE. I would like to see Baldwin come out in a 2-3 zone on D, cause you all know that Wireman is gonna come out running the same offense he ended friday nights game with. We have to eliminate the open basket cuts that JC had the whole 4th quarter that they used in the comeback victory. If Wireman comes out in the same D our girls are gonna have to move around and get some open looks.
I'm confident that the Lady Tigers are gonna come out with fire in their eyes and take care of business.

It's awlays been hard for the Lady Tigers to defeat the Lady Eagles no matter if they had more talent. But it is a tough call- defeating a team three times in one season can prove to be quite difficult. But from what I have seen from both teams, I am going to guess that the Lady Eagles will win this one. Wireman always has his girls ready to play Paintsville.
Best wishes to both teams.:Cheerlead

You know your girls well! I wish both teams the best and will be pulling for the winner to move on. (Sorry Mag. I pull for the underdogs).
Baldwin does deserve a good trip to the region and his experience from last years squad and this years exp. in the All - A Tourney will be a big advantage that they will have over JC.
Wireman is a tuff cookie though!:coach:

Did JC beat them twice in the regular season last year. I thought Pville pulled out the last regular season game at home when it went to OT, can't remember for sure though.

Baldwin has Wireman's number in the post-season. I'll take the Lady Tigers.

I think that even though it is very hard to beat someone on their home court when everything is on the line, it is also hard to beat someone 3 times in the same season. On the other hand Magoffin was doubted last year that they could not beat the Lady Tigers of Paintsville 3 times (and trust me anyone will tell you it is not easy). But IMO I think Paintsville will come out ready to play, and once again we will see a regional tournament minus Phillip the Great. LOL.

Score is VERY possible! But I really don't think the comment about Phillip the Great is called for.
Paintsville is a very good team and Baldwin is an outstanding coach! Just wished that we could've won the coin toss so we wouldn't have to play them again.
