The big uglies are looking pretty good IMO. That offensive line is pretty big!
Numbers #35, #78, #61 and 77 are huge! I think you'll be hard pressed to find a bigger one in the 3a East other then Belfry, but you would probably be hard pressed to find a bigger line then Belfry in all of the East regardless of class.

Is Timmy the only kid on the football team who also plays basketball and why are they doing basketball stuff this long after the season?
Timmy plays on a aau team that is over now and he is full time in football

I think Boyd County is in big trouble on Friday, maybe worse then last season.
What do you think.

Luke my be out depending on the appeal, keesee may be out with that ankle that ended his night at betsy layne. That being said I don't see boyd co. Stopping this offense, jt hall at tackel is just what this team has needed a big physical player that can set the edge and he gets down field and blocks hugh pick up for the dawgs. Without luke or keesee.
Lc 45
Boyd co. 21
If both are back it will be up to cecil on how bad they beat boyd co.
Could be running clock before half time.

You think Boyd will score 21 on this defense because I'm not sure?

With all of their offensive firepower, LC should put a running clock on the Lions. BC might only win two games again this year. Cannonsburg is a tough place to win right now. I only counted eight seniors on the roster this year. Hopefully they can get things turned around there soon. I just don't see it happening this season.
If you're in attendance, get used to hearing these three words: Kiser to Dalton.
Lawrence Co. 48
Boyd Co. 13

That is great for luke and the team, looks like keesee will also be able to play. These two make a big difference on defense.

These two make a big difference on defense.offense and defense. both play a key roll in overall team success. boyd runs a spread offense so i look for several sacks and a couple of ints on defense. on offense lc spreads it around. i look for 4-5 different players to score. lc wins going away. this lc offense is the best they have had in several years. a very good qb operating behind a big o-line with multiple options on the run-pass. very hard to defend against. special teams are solid. new kicker that is very good. could see a field goal or two. schafer avg 40yds punt.

I'll take the Dawgs.

look for austin ross to have 3-4 sacks. look for wellman to have 3-4 tackles for loss. look for richardson to have at least one pick. look for horton to have 2-3 tackles for loss. look for td's from dalton, keesee, schafer, simpkins, mosely and kiser. lc to tough on both sides of ball. this is the year for lc. it is all in the hands of the coaches. they have not had this much ability in several years. it is up to the coaches to figure out how to best utilize it. if they make the right calls lc will go far. very seldom is a team blessed with 16 starting seniors that happen to be very athletic. i look for lc to score at least 4 times rushing and 3 times passing. i look for the defense to totally dominate bc.

So I got to watch the Boyd Co. grid scrimmage last night and it was ugly. The teams were Boyd, Montgomery, Morgan, Pike Cent, and Fairview. We play 4 of the teams on that list. Boyd don't have much. The only player that stood out was the QB #1. The kid has some pretty good speed and moves but he don't throw very much and when he does bad things seem to happen to him. Fairview has a pretty good QB but the defense is not that great and the kid had to scramble a lot because his Oline was breaking down on him. Pike Central looked small and lost to me. I think they lost some very good athletes from last year and it showed. I think Montgomery County looked as good as any team there. They had a pretty good pass game and a RB who had pretty good moves and he can break some tackles. I'm sticking to my prediction that Boyd is in trouble Friday night.........they say it's going to be nice Friday night with lower humidity and in the 50's so that will be good football weather.

This is good news also. We need him on both sides of the ball. Kid flat out likes to hit and he has some wheels with the ball in his hands.

Boyd has a couple of good skill players that i know of. Tanner Edmonds sr Qb, converted from wr and jr rb Christian Braly who has started since he was a fr. They have 20 fr on the roster of 48.

I agree. I still worry about the defense but they look way better then last season so far. They look smarter and they are flying to the ball and gang tackling with some aggression, but I think this offense is going to run wild this season.

i think i counted about 50 players on boyds roster with 8 seniors and 20 freshmen.not much experienced depth this year for them

I don't think out will happen, but even if the Bulldogs blow it on defense and let my Lions score 40 points, it still won't bee enough. The only series that I see LC not scoring on would be if they fumble the ball away. I don't think anyone one the Bulldogs schedule can shut down their offense. It should be one the most potent offenses in the state this year, just too many good weapons combined with some experience.
