I thought JC looked very good at the 7 on 7 at Russell on Friday. They seemed to really only throw it to the same guy over and over but the qb was on target and the wr(I think he was #1 but I can't recall, really big kid though) made some great catches and got up field well. Db's looked very fast and played the ball well for the most part. I could see them making some big plays in the passing game if they actually chose to.

Looks like some road trips this season.... hopefully we get a game in Week 0 or Week 3.

I was just notified today JC lost 3 key future players (freshman) to Paintsville. This blows my mind,
did something happen to make them leave? The talk surrounding JC is so great I can't see anyone leaving that program. I mean the family does know Fort Thomas Highlands and CC isn't in 4a anymore correct? To have a chance to win a 4A state championship is something special.
I hope, for JC's sake, Joe Jackson was not one of those players!!

They have been begged even offered $5000.00 for 2 years now to come play in the Don Marshall Bowl against South Western but Matney refused. JC fans can believe what they want but this is a fact. And guess what, it's in week 0.

I think you will hard pressed for anyone to believe it , just because you are the one who said it.....lol

Been booked up for 2 years in Week 0 for a scrimmage against Portsmouth West and this is the final year of that contract. Maybe next season if they will grant a return game something can get worked out. 2016 JC can go there or SW can come to JC and in 2017 the other can return the favor. If that doesn't work, Week 1 also comes open next year. If JC is unable to find a Week 3 game then you can add that to the list of openings to choose from. Starting in 2017, Weeks 2 and 4 come open after the contacts with Lexington Catholic and Harlan County ends. Not too much to ask to get a return game which most schools that want them in a bowl game will not commit to. Boyle has done it and Lexington Catholic is doing it now. Both of those games put JC on the road in year 1 and a return game followed, negating any comments that they want a home game in year 1. When you reach out to a Clinton Massie, St. Clairsville, NewCath, Cardinal Mooney, Beechwood, Ironton, etc. it is not like you are hiding. Most teams would rather not travel 4 hours, understandably, for a non-district game when you have others in closer proximity. Lexington may bring several games JC's way going forward. I also look for Corbin to be added in the near future. Coach Haddix is a great individual and said he really enjoyed our games and wants to get them back. Have your people reach out with a 2 year deal and I'm sure something can get worked out. JC also has a nicer payout than the DMB in their RECC Bowl, reserved for the first home game of the season. They can make it worth the Warriors while if they decide to pick it up.

Potential open weeks going forward depending on contract lengths:
2016 (0, 1, 3)
2017 (0, 1, 2, 3, 4)

One of the three had a change of heart and returned. The twins are staying at Paintsville. They have been recruiting the twins for years and have done a great job of convincing them that MOORE time is available at Paintsville. The twins are great kids and will be missed but trust me, there is plenty of talent in the class behind them. So in the end, they will hopefully be happy at Paintsville and Johnson Central will march on toward a state championship run.

Sad to hear they all did not come back and be apart of something special there at JC.

Team Canada traveled more than 4 hours. When is JC going there? Matney is and always will hide from quality competition. This years playoffs will show you again what happens when a team is not battle-tested:gtfo:

Let me make sure I understand you. Belfry comes down twice and kick the shit out of you (in those same years JC Beats Belfry) but SW will not give them a return game. The you expect JC to come down for two years without a return game and if we don't JC is not playing quality competition. They're some weak twisted logic to your though process.

However, using your twisted logic why would SW not come and play in JC Bowl. JC will pay SW more and we have several weeks we can schedule you (1, 3,4) Does that then make SW not battle tested in the do not agree to come to JC twice without a return game? I can assure you that SW had ben offered the games and more money but refused to play. :lame:

Keep Up the Good Work ( twisted logic had type that)

The main player in this scenario is a parent and not a school employee. He talks to all of our kids. Even to the point of attending middle school events at Johnson County Middle. Every time I talk to a kid that has left, this guy's name is the first name that I hear every time.

So close. You switch the "L" and "J" there and that statement is 100% correct.
