The BGR staff is looking for more involvement with the membership. With this said, we are looking for a certain number of posters to vote on the BGR Football Rankings. We are looking for dedicated and competent posters to work on this all season long. If you're interested please send a PM to myself, or any staff member, or feel free to post in the thread.

This site wants to involve regular members who want to put input into this.
This will be the first year BGR has put out a real ranking with a complete staff and committee. If you are interested at all, please express it in this thread. Football season is coming on quick!

Hey, sorry guys, busy weekend, and just getting back.
Im happy with all the interest!
Often times, rankings are much better when someone from a particular area, or knowledgeable of a certain class, gives there input to help the overall. A "do it by committee" type thing and voting is always much more closer to the actual rankings then 3 or 4 guys getting together and coming up with rankings for every single class. We, as mods, know this. Although there are several of us and all pretty knowledgeable, we could add 10 more mods and still not have every crevice in this state covered.
We were waiting to see how much interest this really garnered before figuring up an actual format for how we will receive the voting and whose votes we will actually take. Weve often seen "other sites" put out rankings with highly biased rankings and pretty record rankings, meaning a bad team that plays bad teams can go 9-1 but we know they could be beat by a team that 3-7 that has played a much tougher schedule.
Since we have the attention that we do, I will talk with RBM on how we should go forward, and set up a structure that will be the most effective. We still have around 2 weeks before the preseason rankings need to come out, so we will hopefully have a plan in place this week to get ready to go. That plan will be on how you will need to vote, what you will need to vote on, and the deadline for submitting your votes.
I wasn't kidding when I said we were going to take this seriously. These rankings may or may not be marketed to media outlets for there use. It only helps us grow the site. If its any indication, ive relinquished my job of doing the pick em games to focus solely on this. RBM and I will make sure everything is as it needs to be and all we need is your help and support, so please, if anyone else wants to be a part of this, let us know. I will talk with RBM and on what we should set as a cut off date for putting in an request on this thread and post it here.

I sent RBM a PM the other day and I am interested in helping. It would be great to add some validity to the polls. A lot of the polls on this site are pretty biased, if you can believe that.

No offense but I think they are looking for people who can put aside bias and hatred of their own and other teams and people who watch football outside their own county. One need only look at your silly, uninformed and uneducated comments about Lawrence County on the 2015 Preseason Rankings thread to eliminate you from being anywhere near this. You made those comments because you hate anything Lawrence County.......nothing wrong with that in itself because I have a healthy dislike for a lot of teams and programs also and that is why I know I can't be a part of this. You can get mad but I call em like I see em!

Not sure your opinion matters to anyone or were facilitated. What I do know is that I beat YOU pretty badly a couple years back in the games of the week pick 'me contest. I didn't have time to participate last year.
