With only 17 Fridays (if my math and dates are correct) away from the start of football season... it's gonna be a fun season in Johnsonville this year.

I was hoping nobody would mention that topic..... hopefully we can get the home side speakers turned more towards the field before the season starts. That is why it is so loud. I promise you, I keep my computer volume at no more than 75%. The audio board has channel volumes and main volumes... we keep the microphone channel about 1/3 higher than the music. And the main isn't even at 50% volume. Anything more than that.... and it would be real distorted and almost loud enough to be a crowd dispersing weapon..... If you look at the home side speakers.... they are pointed straight down at the bleachers. The visitors side is angled more towards the field. If we can do the same for the home side, it would be much better for fans on the home side and better for the players.

Does anybody have a completed schedule with locations and dates?

Ashland, Boyd County, East Carter, Rowan County and Greenup County are the district games.
Belfry, Harlan County and Lexington Catholic are the non-district games that I know of so far.... hopefully we won't play The Greater Vancouver national team or Hoover, Alabama.

I have heard JC has emails after emails of schools that will not play them. This might be true because I grew up in LC and I know they will not play JC.

JC is stepping it up this year by playing Lex Cath. I like it. I'm a JC fan. I love their offense and really enjoy watching them play. I have joked around about JC' s weak schedule but all in fun. The great HOF coach Roy Kidd once said to be a successful coach you should schedule yourself 8 wins a year.

I think this is definitely JC's year. 4A is ripe for the taking, Coach Matbey may finally be able to bring home that title that has eluded him.

I was just notified today JC lost 3 key future players (freshman) to Paintsville. This blows my mind,
did something happen to make them leave? The talk surrounding JC is so great I can't see anyone leaving that program. I mean the family does know Fort Thomas Highlands and CC isn't in 4a anymore correct? To have a chance to win a 4A state championship is something special.
