I know you really cant make a decision until after post season play, but you had to vote now who would be your coach of the year.
I would give my vote to Bart Williams, great job given what talent level he has

Pikeville has only defeated 2 teams this season with a winning record, East Ridge and Phelps. There other wins have been against teams like Jenkins, David, and Breathitt.. My vote goes to David Rowe. He has one really talented player and a few role players, but I think he is getting the most out of them.

Jimmy Daniels @ Paintsville. Come on, lets hear it.

David Rowe should win this. Randy anderson would be my other choice.

David Rowe gets my vote. Pike Central has been the most consitent team all year. He has done a great job IMO

David Rowe

I agree David Rowe would be a great choice

David Rowe has doen an awesome job with the Hawks this year. Brent Rose may have a losing record, but winning the Floyd County Conference is a big boost for his ball team going into the District.

Whoever's team wins the regional title.
02-16-2006, 10:21 PM
^ not a good way to measure coaching ability..

My vote would be either Coach Rose ( winning his first conference title), or Coach Hall (winning another All A title). Neither one was suppose to do this.

My vote would be David Rowe of Pike Central. He has done an excellent job with the Hawks and has one of the best players in the State in Brad Lowe.

Brent Rose

Is that a good thing or a jab?? I've not really understood the belief that Paintsville was supposed to be GOD like this year or the belief that they are haveing a bad season to date. They have a young team with 17 wins, #1 seed in the district, All-A final and won their own tournament. Pretty good resume for a team that IMHO is a year away from recognizing its potential. If this is Jimmy Daniel's doing then I guess they should keep him.

Everyone was already talking state tourney with them. i believe it was really unfair. i couldn't imagine having to start varsity as an 8th grader. i think 17 wins and #1 seed in the district is great, but they and Johnson Central have to learn to come and play every night. Next week starts one and done. I sure hope a Johnson county team represents this region.

Belfry's coach IMO. The only team that has been consistent all year.
02-20-2006, 02:45 PM
i wuld hav 2 say coach barry hsll of the south floyd raiders by leading his team to 2 straight all a classic championship wins.

Greg Friend. Is his name i think
My vote goes to Brent Rose after the horrible start to the season. He has really worked with his team to win 5 out of their last 6 games.
02-20-2006, 04:26 PM
Mark Starns from Johnson Central

Brent Rose has brought Betsy Layne's basketball program from horrible to a possible top 5 team in the region this year.
02-20-2006, 04:49 PM
David Rowe Hands down best coach
02-20-2006, 04:56 PM
Randy Casey Belfry....i kno he won it last year but belfry has the best record in the 15th region....and to think las year they made it to the regional finals...compared the the dark ages of belfry lol....

What, no Jason Booher or Denny Paul May?
