Think about this Knott's D only gave up 100pts. the entire tournament. That's 3 game with an average of 33 .3 per game. This team's D doesn't get the respect that it deserves. Out scored opp. 169-100. that's an average of 56.3-33.3 WOW!!!!

dumbest thing ive seen on here in a while. You must have never watched a game before the past two years. Hell when Ben Bowling was a senior vs cam now he would beat cam 24-10 in a pick up game.

Its been the past 6 years that Knott has dominated this region not 2. 5 titles in six years is total domination.
If what you say is true,why did Ben not finish in the top 20 all time scoring in Ky, not go to 4 straight state tournaments, not win Mr. Basketball(write it down it will happen), and last but not least..... Sign with a major conference(SEC).

I won't ever argue that , but I will argue that no one is a better basketball player than Cameron. For one Ben transferred to Florida and didn't play his Junior or senior year @ PCC if I'm not mistaken(I could be wrong but I know I'm close). Two, a player is measured by numbers/accomplishments/character. Cameron has scored more points in his career than Ben, won more titles than Ben, won more games, and after tomorrow night will be Mr. Basketball. Now lets hear your argument as to why Ben was a better 14th region basketball player than Cameron? A lot of things go into the best ever conversation, not just potential.
My argument was for the best to play in the 14th not could haves would haves or should haves!

I would have to say Cameron is the best I have ever saw in the past 30 years to play in this region. He just does so many great things. Justin Johnson was great as well. I think Braxton Beverly is right there with Cam and Justin. Cameron has flat out done it all. Numbers and accomplishments don't lie. Ben Bowling was a heck of a player to but not a Cameron Justice in my opinion.

I've seen them both play and I will tell you that you could compare them over and over again and you won't get the Knott County fans admitting that Ben is better or the Perry fans saying that Cam is better.
However - I think your argument doesn't hold too much water comparing numbers and Sweet 16 appearances when Ben wasn't in Kentucky enough for that to be a possibility.
If you want to say that Cam is better you have a valid argument, but it's not a fact. It's an opinion.
Your statement "a player is measured by numbers/accomplishments/character" is also a little out there. That may be how you determine who is better, but we're being subjective here. In my opinion, character goes a long way, but it's got nothing to do with how good of a basketball player you are. Ben had his issues that kept him from being what he could be, but I can tell you that his accomplishments are just as impressive regardless.
Ben was enrolled at Oak Hill and was ready to play for them at one point, but it didn't pan out (for non-basketball related reasons). He then went to Westminster in Florida and averaged 20pts/7rbs/6ast a game for a top 20 team in the nation.
Ben didn't play ball around here for two years... and that knocks him out of being your best 14th Region player of all-time? Ben at least played around here his whole life. Camron was from Pike County and only transferred into the 14th (twice).
Like I said - you have an argument - but you're overlooking a lot of things.

If I want a player to play for four years at a high level I'm taking Cam.
If I want a player to dominate for one game I'm taking Ben.

Go watch some old film please. Ben left after his junior year because OAK HILL wanted him. Plz tell me, did the come after Cam? Nope, no major prep schools did. If you had ever seen him play, which you obviously have not, you would know he would dominate Cam. What ruined Ben was character issues. But just on basketball skills he was far better then Cam. The ONLY thing Cam might do better is shoot 3s. Ben was a better ball handler, better defender, better passer and the athleticism is no where close.

Here is Ben's bio from Tulane. Please explain to me how Cam is better? He might have avg a couple of more points. But thats it, Ben is a all around player. Cam isnt. "After playing for three years at Perry County Central High School, attended Westminster Academy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) for his senior season, but returned to graduate from Perry County. Averaged 21 points, seven reebounds and six assists for Westminster, which closed the season as USA Today's No. 23 team in the nation. Recorded four triple-doubles during his senior season. As a junior, earned all-district and all-state honors after averaging 28 points, six rebounds and eight assists. Had career single-game bests if 50 points and 23 assists. Also collected all-district and honorable mention all-state honors as a freshman and sophomore, when he averaged 18 and 21 points per game, respectively."

Lol.. Someone can't stand Knott co,, or Camron.. Sit back and relish in the fact someone from Knott brought the 14th region the first ever Mr basketball.. Hell yeah we lay claim to him.. He played all 4 year's at Knott.. By your thoughts though,, letcher also can lay claim as that's where he first came from.. Either way he played at Knott.. Made the mountains proud.. And won Mr basketball in the process. Now onto Rupp to win state.. Oh yeah,, Hood played at UK,, not Vandy.. Cam will play a lot in Nashville..

No you are far from right. From what i know he is a great kid and has a good head on his shoulders. I wish him the best. And i have plenty of friends from Knott county. What i cant stand are fans who are not very knowledgeable about what they are talking about. Which KCC has alot of. And Cam might be going to vandy but he still wont see minutes untill at least his junior year. But will never be a impact player of any type at a major school. Had he went to WKU or somewhere he would have played right away Like Justin Johnson has. But as far as KCC wining state, ur getting a little ahead of yourself there. They have a chance true, but they are not the best team in the tourney either.

Had he stayed at Perry he could have easily won Mr Basketball. But he went to Oak hill and then Westminster. Two prep schools the Cam could NEVER play at. While at Westminster he was the best player on a top 25 team in the COUNTRY. And Ben had his trips to rupp as well. Including one in which they won a game maybe two but then lost to the team that won the whole thing. So no. I would take being the best player on one of the best teams in the country over playing for KCC any day.

Ben was a great player and could still be making money somewhere playing basketball, but he chose a different path. Camron Justice deserves YOUR RESPECT and everybody else's respect!!! And if he never plays (of course he will) at Vandy, he will be getting a half a million dollar education for FREE!!!

Your jealousy is sad and strange.. this is high school and Cam just did something no one else has ever done in the 14th region.. period.
I can't wait for Knott's season next year, but the thing is our CURRENT season isn't over!!!
