Jeff Sheppard taking over at North Laurel?
#1
Was in Lowes sporting goods yesterday evening and I heard several people in there talking about Jeff Sheppard becoming the new head basketball coach at North Laurel. Not sure if this is true or not but the guy would make a tremendous high school coach.

I hear that North is got a coach on Radar!!
He is coaching in the 50th!
Just Rumors
#3
I've heard that Shepard has already told them he isn't interested. Don't know if this is true but it came from some North guys that usually know.
#4
Just dont see this happening.

In my opinion, there is no chance of Sheppard ever being the coach at North. People outside of Laurel County doesn't realize that he's not thought very highly of as a coach at North. I know the North middle parents couldn't stand him. (fair or not.) I'd say Brad is back next year, but if he does leave, I'd put my money on a former 14th region coach that has really close ties to North. He's a really good coach and person, and was thought to have the North job before giving it to Brad.

I was told that North has not and will not be renewing Brad ' s contract. I think if they can find anyone half way decent to replace him they will. I also heard that Broughton may be leaving all this is rumors so who knows. I'll say this if North players all come back it will be a shocker to me.

If Brad wants to come back, he will be back. (regardless of the record or mess, he's in tight at North.) If Peyton leaves, it's because Brad is leaving. Those two statements I can guarantee. As far as kids coming back, that all depends on how everything works out with Brad. I know of two that definitely won't play next year if he's still coaching, and a 3rd is rumored. All will be big loses because they are all 3 the kind of kids that North needs right now. Unselfish, and plays hard nosed defense. But on the flip side, if Brad leaves, I think Peyton follows him. It's definitely a mess and I hate it for a lot of those kids coming up. But if Brad leaves and they get the coach I think they'll hire, they'll be very, very good for the next several years.

Who are the frontrunners for the NL job?
#9
I agree 100% with broughton following sizemore. I have already heard a school that they are rumored to be heading to. I also heard rice was extremely unhappy with how things played out and was looking to leave. I agree things are gonna get messy at North if players and or coaches leave. I just don't think you can bring Brad back no matter what. He let alot of teams beat him that shouldn't. Some of this is on the players but alot of it is on him for not utilizing his size advantage.
#10
No school is looking at Sizemore. None and no rumors like that
#11
I think that several schools would take brad in order to get Broughton. Especially if it's the same school I heard that already has a stud player that has Ties to Sizemore and Broughton.
#12
Coach Sizemore will be the head coach as long as he wants it. no player will be transfering, Now that doesn't mean neighbor schools want be trying to hijacked north laurel player. :truestory:
#13
It's a long time till next year. I've heard way too many rumblings about transfers from people that know. They may stay or leave, but make no mistake, it's being discussed on several fronts.
#14
Also was told that if Sizemore leaves that sizemore (8th) will leave. I do know his dad is high in Brad.
#15
adam sizemore at point and a year older will make a huge diff for north next year.
#16
Where is Sizemore wanting to land at?

Corbin by 5

If Brad leaves, I guarantee you that Adam goes nowhere. (For good reason. ConfusedhhSmile

I love all of the implications, hints and such. Just say what you are implying folks. Sizemore to Perry Central, Broughton goes with Sizemore and plays beside Beverly! Former Leslie coach, Tim Sizemore takes over at North! Just to clarify the rumor mill. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

I honestly don't think that Tim would want the headache of coaching in Laurel County, but I guarantee you that if he did want to, and the job come open, he would be on the very short list. They would be crazy not to get him. I hadn't heard the PCC rumor though. That would be a heck of a team, but North should've been a heck of a team too.

Wasn't what I heard either. I'll go ahead and say it. I heard Broughton to Apollo to play with wright. I heard Rice is as good as gone. And I've heard 2 coaches name mentioned with North. I'll put money on it that Sizemore is done at North

You'd have to mean Overybey, which is possible I assume.

Didn't he come from North?

Broken Arrow but your money where your mouth is, You name the amount! Sizemore will be back. Broughton does not have ties to Wright either. Wright plays on opposite travel teams. Broughton will be wearing #3 for North Laurel next year!

I would agree with this. But they will be down at least 3 players, and possibly 4. I would put money on Rice being gone next year. He was extremely close to being a Tiger before enrolling at North.

Clay is doing their recruiting as always. They promised his mother a job last year and are still working through his mom to get him. This is a fact!

How did North's recruiting work out this year? Jackson County ends North's year with Lawson and Bundy starting. North puts their gear up for the year with Collier coming on board to save the day.

How could anyone with any sense at all say North recruited Collier! His dad got into a argument with Parrot over Lawson not going through conditioning then being allowed to play. Collier moved to North to play. You are making an asinine statement. Lawson left to go to Jackson Co before Sizemore started and Bundy left because he couldn't take it that he sat the bench over his first cousin playing over him last year. Bundy is a great kid and would have easily started at North at point this year!

It don't matter if broughton is wearing the #3 for north as long as Clay has #2 plain and simple. North isn't winning anything next year if Clay is healthy. And from what I'm hearing Clay may not need Rice. But we are always open to kids that laurel county wants to run off. Name the bet as long as it isn't foolish I'll call it on Sizemore being gone.
