Listen Frazier has been not looked at by last 3 or 4 openings. I do know that if he coaches around here it will be as asst

Hoskins nor Frazier is going anywhere. Frazier is very happy at Bell with guys he has known for a long time. He coached here for free last year and will do the same next if he can not get on. He has turned down at least 2 jobs. He just wants to be an assistant and watch his son play college football. Hoskins has turned down several jobs over a he past couple years. We are very glad we have both of those guys here. So the answer to these questions about whether these two guys are they will be coaching at Bell exactly where you hey want to.

He was the man from day one!!!!
Nick Saban would have wasted his time if he applied.

100% not true. Neither applied.

Who did apply or who got interviewed.
Some say Frazier and Hoskins applied and some say they didn't. I'm sure no one admits it if they don't get it but who did appy and get an interview.

Former Middlesboro head coach was interviewed, as was former Spencer Co head coach.

Yes he will. South will be in a 4 team district. It would really be a story if he didn't.

South simply doesn't care about athletics, Do you think this would happen at Corbin? I hope they don't actually expect to win games.

Lynn Camp has assembled a better coaching staff than South Laurel...

Lynn camp has quite possibly the worst coaching staff ever assembled Since hs football started.

South Laurel is being compared to Lynn Camp... that tells you all you need to know.

The guy allowed 39.7 points per game as D-Coordinator last season. Got laughed at on the way out of SW with the previous staff prior to Coach French. I'd like to see the checklist the administration used to decide this was the right fit, as it is a very questionable hire in my opinion. I have a feeling they'll be running through the same process again in a couple years.
The good news is that maybe they will get a new defensive coordinator.

According to the local news paper he will remain DC unless the right candidate comes along.

Lynn Camp will win more games than South Laurel will this year.

I jus don't understand why a school wouldn't want to win, or be on the rise. Why start with this kind of attention? Beats me....

Congrats to Burdine tho.. Jobs are few and far between these days

Are you being real? Hs football replaces 40+ coaches a year.
02-28-2015, 12:34 AM
Yep. Been an average of that many the last few years. This year will break 50. Still more to fall. Some jobs out there right now that will be domino effect, and there always seems to be a handful or so late spring through summer (when admin jobs come open and HC's moving into those roles).

They other coaches in the district are happy with the Burdine hire.:
