Who will be the new coach at Sheldon Clark next year?

The only person that I've heard apply is Tony Burchett. Who else is on the list?

I think that'd be a pretty good hire for the Cards.

I'd like to see a younger guy come in and turn the program around.

Tony would be an excellent choice. I spoke with Tony at the state football finals back in December and told me that he was unsure of what he wanted to do with the upcoming season. He mentioned his health was doing much better and that he was considering retiring at the end of the year from his teaching position. A class act, would be a good one if he did apply for the position.

I've heard Joey Stepps name mentioned.

Former Cardinal and Marshall standout Joey Stepp would be a perfect fit!

Tony Burchett would be an awesome hire. He's done an awesome job at Powell county since he's been there.

Burchett would be a great hire. Done a good job at Powell with what he had. Last I heard he was in bad health but I guess he has gotten better. Wonderful guy.

How would Tony be a great hire for us? He had a Senior dominated team last year and could not produce. We need someone young, that is willing to start from the ground up, help rebuild our program. We need someone who is hungry at a chance to help lead a group of kids and place them in a position to be able to be successful on and off the playing field. I would recommend someone from out of town that has experience building a program.

The middle school coach from Prestonsburg would be a good hire. I know him and he would be a good fit at a program like that. i mentioned it to him a few times, hes pretty loyal to Prestonsburg and the DeRossetts. would be tough to convince him but its a thought.

Well he was but mainly for political reason not performance. He is aggressive and dont take crap for noone. foul mouth at times but those are things that can be worked upon. :argue:
