Wowwwwwwww

OBI has a couple players that would play for all the big dogs in the 13th.

I picked this one. Good Job OBI. Did they get any new players 2nd semester??? Had this one 75 - 72 Oneida.

Is brads seat hot now or what

I doubt it... North basketball has always been a roller coaster. Coach Sizemore bought some insurance with the ONLY region championship ever at North. I have only watched them 2 times this year but I don't know if anyone can win with a team that was as soft as I seen those nights. They are talented but SOFT and that is a recipe for disaster. The talent gives everyone the reason for expectations and the softness gets you L's. The only thing I seen Sizemore do that I disagree with is playing two many bigs and no ballhandling or creators. This is not a jab at anyone but just an observation... Usually kids who leave successful programs (Corbin) have reasons to do so. Those reasons usually are carried over to the new team.

A lot of folks saying: they don't have that one tuff guy, the game changer, great passer, who can set up the plays. The 'bigs' can't get that done!

They need a Shepard to save them....hehehe

I think the North Laurel teams biggest problem comes down to Sizemore, he's not a very good coach. He has the most talented team he's ever had at North and don't know what to do with them, his offense should involve his post players more but as long as the superstar Broughton gets his points they are content. I can say this, if Robert Marcum or Tony P had the team that Brad has, they wouldn't be sitting with a losing record right now.

I don't know if I would say feed the post. One of them seems confused and thinks he is a 6"7-6"8 guard and the other one wasn't getting fed by one of those coaches you mentioned and he left. I don't think Sheppard can save them unless he can suit up and play for him. Sheppard needs to try and just win a few games at north middle school before anyone suggests high school. I really like broughtons game but with so many non scoring posts on the floor how can he do anything but shoot from the perimeter. They need shooting and a hard nosed guard to create for them. Our redhounds are not as talented as north but tougher. That's also is what sits clay county above the others this year, talent with a tough winner take all mentality puts them a few notches above most in our region.

I think the post players are tired of not getting the ball. When one player takes over 40% of the teams shots , kids are gonna lay down. And to me and from the guys I work with from North that's what has happened. North has chemistry issues and really I can't blame them.

Wheels have fallen off at North. No excuse to getting beat by OBI.
01-15-2015, 05:32 AM
Did Collier play ?
01-15-2015, 05:32 AM
OBI has a very good team. Not necessarily an upset.
01-15-2015, 05:34 AM
OBI is average at best... No way they should ever beat North!!
01-15-2015, 05:40 AM
I will agree to disagree. I like their team. I think 64s sleeper team may have been awakened.
01-15-2015, 05:55 AM
OBI is better than usual and they got another player cleared at Xmas is what I have been told. They played CLAY tough early in the year. And I expect them to do the same Saturday.
01-15-2015, 05:56 AM
I was at the game. OBI is very quick and athletic.
I don't know about being a "very good team" though. If they are very good, who in the region is average or below?

Ilike the OBI team they are very sound fundimently.

Brad is a great coach. Mike Holcomb highly recommends him.
01-15-2015, 06:28 AM
any stats for Broughton and Asher?
01-15-2015, 11:56 AM
I think those problems can be fixed, what I saw was the big men were slow and there is nothing you can do to fix that.
01-15-2015, 12:12 PM
Believe me that was no upset, OBI is for real.
01-15-2015, 03:09 PM
It has to be a typical obi situation where there are players entering and leaving throughout the year. Does anyone realize that obi lost to m'boro in overtime earlier in the year. Unless thats a misprint on the khsaa website then there is definitely something screwy. Think the problem here lies with the jaguars. They have underachieved all year and from what i hear have serious chemistry problems. I mentioned sometime ago about the rankings issue.......people have or had them ranked high or higher than some other teams and right now they could possibly not make it out of their district. Don't know whether that district seeds or draws but there are problems at nl.
01-15-2015, 03:31 PM
The Jags are underachieving only if you judge them on paper. Sure, it looks like they are a team that can make a push for a regional championship, with their size. If you take a closer look, they're just not that good. They have chemistry issues, too dependent on one player, and are not mentally and physically tough. These qualities make them a team that just isn't very good. They will be one and done in the regional tournament, if they make it.
01-15-2015, 03:32 PM
The district seeds. Red bird will be the 5 seed regardless. Clay the one seed. winner of the 4 vs 5 seed will get clay in semis of district. Thats the seed nobody wants the 4. The NL vs jackson at jackson will be huge game. if your the 2 seed or 3 seed it really dont matter. Thats how I think it goes. I could be wrong. I still think north will get the 2 or 3 seed but obi still gets to play jackson at home so who knows who gets the 4 seed nobody wants it though
01-15-2015, 03:54 PM
So what about Collier??
01-15-2015, 03:57 PM
Collier might help, but having him will not correct the problems this team has.
01-15-2015, 04:18 PM
monday is what I am hearing on a ruling for collier.
