Wow I thought Knox was a top team in the 13th. Good old fashion butt kicking.

Knox looked like the worst team in tourney. Had probably 10 unforced turn overs in fist 4 or so mins of game.

Knox didn't look so much like the juggernaut their fans have been screaming about tonight. And just like I said Barger is no where near the Ball Player that Beverly is.

Easy BA our CC boys aren't breaking any records right now. Not many are as good as Braxton "lil teboe" Beverly In these parts.

I had Knox Central winning.
Maybe they peaked in early December. They didn't look like the team I saw earlier, plus Perry Central played great.

This game was over as soon as Knox coach decided to come out with a press to start the game. Perry is hard to press with their ball handlers and Perry was quicker at every position.

Come on count where's your confidence, a ugly win is still a win. Our boys will be fine. And I agree about Beverly. Some people just don't realize how good this kid is. He's not your typical mountain basketball player, kid is legit.

I wonder if people will stop picking against a Perry on here now?

Have you seen perry play much this year? They played good I guess but not even close to great. Whitmore played better then he usually does but everybody else didn't. Beverly didn't shoot that well

I've seen perry play a lot better

You know, I have the utmost respect for Beverly and his skill set but I am shocked at this game. I really thought Barger would have a huge effect on him, but I was wrong.
Congrats Dores!!
This tournament has always been geared for Knott County and Perry County to play the finals. This year is no exception and it will be a great game!!
I remember the first time I ever saw these two teams play. It was on TV and Knott County brought in an 8th grader early in the game. It was Justice. He reared up for his first shot, a three pointer......nothing but net. Very soon after that Perry County brought in a 7th grader who shot the three pointer every bit as good. It was Beverly. So these two have been head butting ever since.
I'm excited for the game between these two.

I would like to poll all of the 14th region coaches and see who gave Knox a scouting report on Perry? My guess is no one told him to come out and pressure Braxton and try to run up and down the court with him.

Yes, it used to be geared for Perry and Hazard finals but since Justice, it has been geared for Knott and Perry.

I was expecting a very good game but Perry was firing on all cylinders.Whitmore hit several three's in the game and Tobler controlled the paint from the get go.He had a double double I think in the first half.Beverly played solid defense and is scrappy. Why would you try to press Perry is beyond me.Knox had nothing left in the second half.Congrats to Perry!

I said early in the season that it will be January before Perry begins to gel together due to the new additions. After last night, it looks like they are beginning to gel. However, Knox was not impressive at all. No disrespect to them, but the game was over in the 2nd quarter. Knox lacked intensity. Their offense was stagnant. They fired up many quick shots. Now with that said, Perry played excellent defense. Blair and Tobler were crazy good and the guards were very scrappy. I like what I saw form the dores. I think Coach Hoskins said it best. We need to drive the ball early and then stretch our offense out late in the game. Well coached game. Let's keep it going through the championship game.

Regardless of who it was or is geared for, it was the Clay County Invitational for years!

The guys from WYMT said it best...KC brought their regular intensity, the same could be said for CC against Hazard, whereas PCC, Hazard brought their Mountain Classic intesity.
but thats why they get paid the big BUCKS...

Absolutely zero intensity from Knox. You have a chance to represent in front of numerous fans and they appeared lackuster.Perry was the better overall team. They played comfortable and Tobler was a handful. He appears stronger than last year and Beverly, well,he played outstanding.Knox guards were a step slower and Knox should have switched to a different defense.Perry's second string played well too but Knox's heads were down by then.Nothing to be ashamed of for Knox.Congrats to Perry and advancing on.

Best Perry has looked all year, at least from what I have seen. They were firing on all cylinders. Just a poor effort from Knox as well. Seems like they can never put it all together!
