Nice win for Whitley. I believe 5 players in double figures.

Colonels are very good

This was an impressive win for the Colonels. Jackson County has a very good team. Whitley showed that they can be VERY good offensively hitting on 9 three pointers in the first half. Luke Woods heats up hitting four 3 pointers for the game. 5 different players hit threes for Whitley. Four starters had three point shots, and the 5th did not attempt one and still finished with 12 points.

But it was not just an offensive game. Whitley played nice defense in a very fast paced game. They did however give up some easy baskets but off set those forcing close to 20 turnovers in transition.

You could tell watching the game that on fresh legs Whitley is a good team. This was the most energy I have seen from the Colonels in some time.

Whitley is as good as any team in the 13th on A given nighty. Good job.

When Luke heats up the Colonels are very hard to beat.

Whitley County played a very impressive game!! They definitely showed how well that they play together as a team.Several Colonel players scored in double digits knocking down some great three point shots. Levi Barton was named player of the game finishing with 19 points. The Colonels look very good this season! I wouldn't be surprised to see them win District!

I don't think anyone will be surprised no matter who wins this district!

Very nice win for Whitley!! Those boys play extremely hard and will be a very tough out in the district.

Most competitive district in the state.

topnotch Wrote:most competitive district in the state.

undoubtedly one of the best in the state this year......its ashame that 2 of the best teams in the 13th region will watching from the stands this year. Every other district you can safely predict the two teams coming out but the 50th there is no way of knowing. Whitley, corbin, south & w'burg can beat anybody else in the region. There just isn't a clear cut front runner. Whitley has turned in some impressive wins this year and i know how good corbin and south are. W'burg has their hands full friday night and we will see how this district pans out. Just really exciting for basketball in the 50th and the 13th.
