Talked to a friend of mine from Booneville that follows Owsley County sports, and he said Owsley was down this year? And they came an ace of beating a really good Hazard team? Was anybody there? Did Hazard play that poorly, or was Owsley that good?

It's still early.This was a trap game and Hazard emotionally drained from PCC loss maybe caused it to be a close game.

Also worth mentioning that Owsley's best player (Gay) didn't play, at least that's what I was told. Still, a win is a win for Hazard. They will take some lumps but will be competitive in the end.

Gay is definitely not Owsley's best player, i will agree that he is one of the best though. Him and Hoskins are neck and neck, I think you should be watching Combs. Young guy is a beast. He can play almost every position on the floor and can score and handle the ball very well. He showed that during the Hazard game and he will definitely dominate in the games to come.

Which of the combs brothers are you talking about? They're both good and owsley has a lot of talent. Gay and hoskins are both good in the post and pullins can score.

Owsley had the game won, the refs took it from Owsley. they called 3 bad calls in a roll in the final 40 seconds of the game

Hazard had the ball with 0.7 seconds left on the clock and threw it in off the rim and it bounced to one of Hazard's players for a layup at the buzzer. Hazard was very lucky to come out with the win. Hazard is very down and Owsley played really well, their guards are very quick and can get to the rim. very improved team, will be hard to beat in the 56th district.
