It was nice to watch Cordia graduate play for Fresno State tonight on Fox Ohio. Seeing E playing, not just sitting on the bench makes me proud. Kinda makes all the negative and ugly comments made about Cordia basketball fade into the background. Cordia is directly responsible for this kid being able to use his basketball skills to improve his life. Maybe we can help a few more in spite of the KHSAA and some of the local schools who have lobbied so hard against us.

The AD has back and knee problems, he wouldn't be any competition. Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane.

I'm getting old but I still take either one of them to the rim

Good for him.

Why don't they come up with a team from each district comprised of coaches, assistant coaches playing each other as a fundraiser for their selective schools? How many fans would attend to see coaches in the region on the floor. Not sure if Al can still do it but I'd like to see it take place.

I think its ridiculous that in every thread that post to this page a kcc fan has to put their two cents in! Honey, the world is a way bigger place than Hindman, KY. If you people would get out of the house a little more you would MAYBE realize that KCC basketball is not all that!! The boys struggled in the first half with JBS last night. Had JBS had players off the bench then they could had got the win!! I think its hilarious KCC refuses to play Cordia. I guess it would be embarassing when Cordia's small team dominated! Oh and by the way I would pay big money to watch Rhodes destroy every coach in the region if they allowed coaches to play one another!!

Look I feel bad the Cordia kids can't play, but get over yourselves everything can't be about you. Every little thing that goes on its woe is me. Get over that. Do something positive wait until you are eligible to resume your normal season and move on. Whining about it every waking minute does nothing for anyone.

Instead of rerouting the intention of the topic, why don't you
guys speak your mind. See how this works for you: Cordia's program
is so corrupt and their propaganda so ridiculously transparent that nothing
justifies its existence. Much less, the supposed success of one of its
graduates. O is not through yet; we will see if he stays out of trouble.
And even if he becomes a U.S. citizen, makes the pros, and donates money
to Knott County, I won't change my mind.

who you all take as hospitality room MVP?

I'm not up to speed on this kids background but just wondered why he couldn't have continued to play basketball if not for coming to Cordia. Where did he play before?
12-12-2014, 03:37 AM
Glad he is living his dream. Now let basketball allow him to get a degree.

You know, I was just trying to say something nice about a kid, but apparently that's not acceptable for some of you. It is past pointless to even mention Cordia without the ugliness erupting from most. If Emmanuel makes ten million dollars 2elijah I hope he doesn't spend a crying dime in Knott County. I try not to. He does still keep in touch with some folks at Cordia. He came from a drug and gang infested part of Canada (that ought to open up a chance for some of you to rant). That's all I feel I should share. He lived with a couple on the Creek, did well in school and is doing well at Fresno. Knott better enjoy the ride this year because next year they'll be just another team. Unless they find another Cameron Justice and give his dad and mom excellent paying jobs to do nothing.

Both these teams suck and have no chance in the post season.

This is one of the worst posts I have ever read on this site. You are an embarrassment to knott co.

He couldn't spend a dime in knott co, ain't nowhere to spend it at

Glad to see him succeeding in life regardless of his background.Bad situation that has transpired whether you support Cordia or see them abusing the system.Only a select few know the real truth or what really happened there.People like me may never know but he's getting a degree and I hope he does does something great with it to make a difference for someone else the right way.Cordia appears to have helped him do that, then again, some ex Cordia players are not playing at all(and they have had opportunities) .Basketball is a stepping stone to college and after that, real life.

I'm with you on the fact that if a kid succeeds that we should all join in on the congratulations.
However, the little jab you threw in at the end of your first post was the first salvo that was fired in this thread.

Nice player
12-13-2014, 04:58 AM
It really would not have mattered if all I had posted was congrats Emmanuel, some would have found unpleasant to say about Cordia. A little jab is better than a knife in the back. Best thing Cordia folks can do is just stay off this site. Anyway punishment has been handed down by the KHSAA, the knott county board nor the principal will allow a motion for an injunction, the All A isn't going to allow any Cordia team to participate even though this was about basketball. Guess we'll pay our dues and ride it out. According to the AD, he has been receiving emails from schools who do want to play us so maybe we will play our 15 games. I would like to see the seniors get some exposure. Powerful people running the show out there.

Everyone is trying to gang up on a school that hasn't advanced past first game of the region. Sure is tragic
Don't break the rules then you won't be punished

Everybody breaks the rules from Scott Co. on down. I played at an eastern Kentucky school, and received extras that the rest of the students didn't get. It is what is. Cordia got screwed.

Never been a Cordia fan and never will be a Cordia fan but I guess it's kinda cool to see the kid play. Even if he never got a win against KCC. Lol just kidding (kinda)... Congrats, man :Cheerlead
