A great 54th district battle! Both teams battled and gave it all they had. All I know is this district is going to be crazy.

Leslie is much improved! Gotta give credit to Coach Day and his staff for getting every ounce of energy and talent out of each kid. They proved tonight that they can and will compete in the 54th district & 14th region.

Great game from both sides. Leslie has definitely improved and will compete with a lot of good teams this year.
#8
Leslie looking good early on.
#9
I would've loved to have seen this game!!

Great job to both teams!!

Buckhorn let bray get going and due to foul trouble had a hard time stopping him getting to the basket. Buckhorn locked down and pulled one out. Crank and Hoskins combined for 37 of their 66 points with Crank with 19 and Hoskins with 18. Very good game. Leslie has improved tons, need to get Collett more touches on the block.

Bray had an outstanding game.Even though the Eagles lost, they showed what they are made of at Buckhorn.Good showing and coach has them playing very good team ball.
#12
Great job Eagles. I guess you could say that was a moral victory going to the Horn and coming so close. Got to pull out those W's though. Leslie has the horses to do it. Coach Day is doing a great job at Leslie.
#13
Both of these teams battled to the end. Great environment and congrats to the Horn for pulling it out. Leslie is for real. The 54th will be interesting this year.
#14
Sounds like a great game

Leslie is the same old Leslie. They are still a solid #4 in the District and about 15th in the region. When was the last time they beat any quality team?
#16
We'll find out soon,We got Clay on the 13th.We also got Letcher and Hazard this month.Clay is a quality team and whether we win or lose,it will be a learning experience that will help in the 54th district run.

Bulldog4ever needs to worry about hazard. There not the same ole Hazard because all there transfers left so they got to play will players born and raised from hazard. When was the last time this happen? Could be a scary year for hazard. Just lucky you all got a great coach.

I agree 100%. When people make comments like that, it makes all of us Hazard fans look bad. That's why most of the region consider us arrogant. The last time I checked, we haven't been bringing home many region championships lately.

This has nothing to do with Hazard. Im not even from Hazard. And Leslie hasn't beaten anyone in forever. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

The 54th has good competition this year. A ton of parity, which is good for the schools. These coaches and kids are working extremely hard. I'm proud of the 54th. Go Dores!

Hoskin kid at Buckhorn is a good leader on the floor.54th sounds like it is going to be tight again.
#23
I thought the scorekeeper from Buckhorn was going to punch Day during the game. What was that all about?
#24
Love the mullets for Buckhorn
#25
Day gets a tad bit overly excited on the sidelines sometimes.Seen him go berserk one game and he started pacing back and forth 25 feet talking to himself and jumping. At least he has enthusiasm for his team.Seems to fire them up at times.
#26
Just imagine if Leslie had Asher in the middle! What is he doing now?
#27
Asher is not playing? Injury?
#28
Nope. He wants to focus on only football since he's a projected D-1 prospect.
