Either DeSales improved or NewCath regressed since last year. I think a bit of both. I thought NewCath would keep it respectable, but this was a pretty definitive butt kicking.

That was the most dominating 26 pt win in the history of football. NewCath had 2 kids who would start for DeSales. Just a better team. Congrats.

Lol....i told u this was gonna be the end result. Coulda been 36-0. I dont feel desalles is a dominant offensive team, but they play great D. This is just not a very good ncc team. Poor coaching is also a direct result.

I love seeing a program like DeSales winning state championships. Sam Gilbert and Doug Strothman have both done a great job with athletics. I know Doug has been working to the bone for several years now. Sometimes people forget how impossible it can be sometimes for them to compete athletically. Not only are they an all boys school, but they are competing with St. Xavier, Trinity, CAL, Holy Cross, etc. for all of the best talent every year, and not too mention competing with nearby Indiana private schools as well. It's a tough business and it's remarkable how well they've done.

Is the best you got???? The NCC fans are in here, I'm pretty sure no one was disputing DeSales worth on here so correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm also pretty sure NOBODY is afraid to play Mayfield!!!! Get that shit out of here, oh my Mayfield is coming we better go and hide!!! Biggest joke I've heard all night!! SV couldn't have beaten NCC in their beat game and our worst. Pretty funny the posters that get on here and run their mouth daily about how bad NCC is, get something better to do with your time except sitting on blogs talking about 15-17 yr old and how bad they are.

Not even close....even as bad as Newcath played today, they still put a running clock on SV last week, with the 2nd string playing the whole 2nd half. The score for that Game would have NOT been any different.

What the Hell does beating Shelby Valley have to do with NCC getting there Asses kicked in the state championship game ? Mayfield would have beaten us the same way today. That was a bad game. No other way to describe it. I have never held an XBOX offense to -13 yards at the half and DeSales did it in the title game. NewCath has to improve the O line. They needed to at the beginning of the year. Even if they had it wouldn't have mattered. DeSales is just much better.

Mountain started what ? Nobody in this post had mentioned anything about NCC And Valley Game.. You just had to mention the game you won a week ago instead of the beating you took today .so let's get it over with NCC beat the shit out of Shelby Valley 43 - 0 and put the running clock on them at halftime . That don't change the loss you had today . These kids at Valley are proud of what the did this year . And for you just to keep bringing up and kickin them under the bus is wrong . And as far as you predicting anything . Well everyone who knows anything about football knew Desales would win this year . Just got back from BG. Good game NCC. Our defense came ready to play today. You guys I think are pretty young. I expect the East to come down between you, and Somerset next year. As far as us, we'll be loaded again next year. The West side will be a battle next year, with us, CAL, and Mayfield next year.

On a side note again. I said the same thing last year. How does the Caldwell County coach win coach of the year for the second straight year in 2A? I'm just not seeing it.

I was told this weekend that Desales has kids from 9 different counties! Including some that live in Indiana!

Anyone see anything unfair about that? They should have to play up to 5A or 6A.

Nine counties? lol No. Any from Indiana? Yes. Why should we have to play 5A or 6A? We have 2A numbers. Granted next realignment it will be difficult for us to stay 2A. There is so much buzz about DeSales now. We had our largest open house ever a few weeks ago, along with the facilities we are building, it's really turning out the place to be.

It's nice getting to play in a Class with appropriate numbers. Nobody had a problem when we were playing 4A with all the other Jefferson County schools with 250 kids.
