UAB drops Football
#1
Sad that a school who is bowl eligible drops Football and with that said:Thumbs: UK was scheduled to play them the 1st game of 2016 season. Won't be easy to find a replacement game but 2 schools who were also scheduled to play them and might make the trip to Commomwealth without a return trip from UK are Troy obvious ties with UK since Brown is the head coach. The other choice and maybe a much better test for the Cats is Marshall. Your thoughts.

Interesting you mention Marshall. By 2016 that would be a GREAT series for both schools to get started. A week or two ago the Marshall AD was asked on Twitter about a Marshall/UK home and home series and he said he had tried unsuccessfully to work that out for a while.

Because UK needs a sure win to get eligible and Marshall isn't a sure win. Which is sad.

Yea and Marshall wants a Home and Home which UK doesn't want. Would like to see UK alternate games with Marshall and WVA

The UAB situation is sad. They had something on ESPN interviewing boosters who said they had no idea that this was happening. Yhey raised 5 million dollars and said they would get more if they needed it but the president wont agree to it. There has to be more to this than we have been told!!

Yea watched the segment on ESPN this morning on game day. Said UAB was like a meat market with all of the coaches flying in trying to recruit kids off the team for next season. Do these kids have to sit or can they transfer in and play right away. Stoops hopefully is after some of these kids too. The whole situation though is sad and something definitely dirty going on somewhere. Also have seen where 2 pretty good Nebraska players visited UK looking to transfer. We need all the help we can get.

Very sad for UAB.

I think a WVU vs UK series that alternated between Paul Brown Stadium (for UK home years) and the Steelers' Heinz Field (WVU home years) would be awesome. Would be a bit of a logistical nightmare to get the locations reserved for an extended period but would be really cool to see.
