Congrats to NCC . Was going to post on the other site but it was closed . I will eat my crow and like it . I told someone on the other site that I would be the first on here to congratulate you guys if you won . So here I am. No excuses . NCC was a lot better football team then I thought . None of the fumbles or the penalties mattered for Valley . NCC just came here and give them a good ole fashion whoopin . Wasn't never close to being a game . Nice win. Hope the kid that got shook up is ok . Good luck in Bowling Green . Rooting for you here at Shelby Valley .

Desales is a very good team and this should be a great match up. I can't wait the see all my parochial brothers on BG on Friday. SV had no answer for NCC's speed and special teams play. NCC also does a nice job of blocking at the second level to give their running backs some extra yards.

You're right, its sour grapes. It was predicted in the semi thread (came true) and they don't know how to handle it. I see Desales as a Beecwood type team. Well coached, scripted, and will make you pay when you make mistakes.

I for one have never seen Desalles, but after seeing NCC play Friday night, I dont think Desalles will put up those kind of numbers against NCC. I look for this game to be close and if smith breaks free like he did last Friday then Desalles is going to be in trouble, Smith is a very good athlete who has some great blockers.

Desales has the best defense I've seen since some of early boyle county defenses. Newport better be able to throw the ball or it will be a very long day for them. Desales 28-0. This class 2a championship was decided last Friday not this one.

We have a defense that went to Murray on a very traumatic day in Mayfield history in a daze and only gave up 10. We have gotten older and better since then.

Blah blah blah. Heard that same stuff last year. IF IF IF. Caldwell didn't make it, just like they didn't make it last year. They obviously are the most underachieving team in KY HS Football history. Newsflash. They wouldn't have scored enough points on DeSales to win. Next year Mayfield will find their road a little bumpier to BG. no, caldwell would not have. Their defense is and has been horrible, thats y they havent been able to get back. Its irrelevant now, with sindlear gone.....caldwell who?????

17 is the most points we have given up all year. Bogus sideline call says the man who wasn't there. I was there. I saw it. I know what their coach is claiming. Believe me he knows. It was 100% the right call. They shouldn't have scored any points. It was a Bullsh*t Hail Mary that they did score on.

Beechwood ran all over Mayfield. I think the stat was 200 to 60 yds rushing. RB for BW goes out in the first half to injury. BW made some throwing errors (2) and Mayfield capitalized, thats what good teams do, but to say they are world beaters is ridiculous.

Wait til next year and we will have clarification in this matter. Besides, if you check above I have said they will win going away in this one. I just don't see there defense as any better. They didn't play Beechwood, no comparison. We did play Murray on a very bad night, there is a comparison.

Comparing scores for a team like De Sales is useless. They can absolutely dominate a game and only win by 10. It It is their style. They do it very well. NewCath has much more balance than Murray. We will see what happens and then everyone will see where Mayfield is next year.
