ManofGOD Wrote:That was a MONSTER HIT, but Kash took the brunt of it and came out the worse for wear. Messer never came off the field and has never missed anything this week. Messer will be playing at 100%. TBH it could have been a targeting call on Kash, but it happened so fast and hard that it went unnoticed. It was the hardest hit I had seen this year. watching the hit from the end zone was like watching 2 "RAMS on the old National Geographic channel hitting heads". Glad Kash was okay after the hit. Messer has grown physically since starting as a 6'0" 150 pound freshman. Do not think he would have survived that hit if he were younger.
I'm glad Messer is ok after he was picked up off the groud and is cleared to play and Kash walked off because the coaches didn't want to chance the targeting penalty to be discussed among the officials.
Best to both teams tonight.

Are you saying that Messer was picked up off the ground and Messer was cleared to play? and Kash walked off the field?
Hope this works.

That's a better look manogod, not the same angle I saw. Looked like a clean hit there. Thanks for the video, good luck tonight !

Looked like helmet to helmet to me, but a better angle for sure. Thanks for the encouraging words.

i have seen 3 angles. in person and both sidelines and the only angle that seemed to infer "helmet to helmet" is the homeside angle. from the endzone and visitors side it was clearly a shoulder to helmet. now "targeting" could have been called, BUT, imo the no call was correct. at some point we have to let kids play ball. player safety is important, but short of giving him 2 steps after a catch and possibly getting loose (something u cant do to a player like Connor) or taking an early shot and a possible p.i. called, i think it was a good play by a good football player. Glad Kash is okay. he most certainly seemed to buckle after thise first two steps after the hit.

SB you are right, I saw the north endzone angle and after the hit I thought it was one of those dance moves everyone makes after a big hit but you could clearly see on mani god video it was his shoulder not a hat to hat hit.
