I saw the vehichle the refs got out of when they entered the game. And that vehichle did have Jefferson co tags. But I also seen who was driving the vehichle and who escorted the refs in. and this man is an official from this region and a Corbin alumni.
Cherokee, who is transferring in for the hounds?
Pureathlete, who was he?

4 Different Angles leave no doubt

For all the criticism of officials it is very clear they nailed the last two plays. Corbin fans saying there was a phantom facemask and that the final pass hit the ground quite simply are wrong.

Don't know if the officials were spot on the rest of the game, but it is clear that at least at the end of the game they made two very difficult and two perfect calls.

I Haven't read all the posts, but could you please show me where one corbin fan said the final pass hit the ground. I still see no facemask from any of those angles, and for some reason the one angle that would show it from centrals press box they cut the video right before the tackle is made...

I thought the facemask was very obvious on a couple of the angles. The kids head motion and the hand of the defender made it look like a facemask to me.

As to the "hit the ground" pass on the TD, I think it was another poster on another website that posted that interpretation before the Hudl video was posted.

Watching those two plays made my heart sink for the Corbin kids.

And that's a sentence I thought I would never utter.

They just were on the wrong end of the tornado when the perfect storm came through.

Excuses excuses
Coachdad Wrote:Excuses excuses

I haven't made one excuse for Corbin losing. Haddix and the offense executed a perfect offensive game plan against a weak Central Defense. Central realized they would not be able to run on the Corbin Defense and found some holes in the Corbin pass coverage. Defensive coordinator made no effort to pressure the Central offense allowing them to basically run a 7 vs 7 drill. With no pressure on the quarterback he went from an average to an all-state caliber QB. Centrals athletes made the plays when they were needed to be made, and Corbin's defensive coordinator refused to give the Corbin defense a chance to make plays suitable for the athletes they had on the field. Sometimes the ball bounces for one team and that happened at the end of the game.
Here is a little better look. This is from the Boosters club video camera. Notice his right hand is not on the player.

unless #20 had a third hand there could not have been a face mask, this is the best picture of the play, and his hand was not inside the shoulder pads so there couldn't be no horse collar!:Sad04:
Good shot, tough break for Corbin. Up 26, should have never been in this situation.
Nothing changes, but the previous clips showed nothing.

Best view ive seen yet. It appears the corbin defender had his entire arm wrapped around the shoulders of the receiver making it appear he turned his head via the facemask, but in reality, he turned his whole upped body.

Can't be showing what really happened on this website. Central made sure not to show the only angle they had by cutting the clip short. #20 has one hand on the ground trying to break his fall and the other arm is around the back of the central players neck driving him into the ground. Central coaches in the background begging for a call and they get it. It happens I understand that calls are missed, but now that everyone can see they can quit popping off when they weren't there. However, Corbin should never been in the situation to let luck and the officials play into the outcome.
Coachdad Wrote:They should have not started all that refs cheating talk and this is not an issue , so sorry if I offended anybody , but I will stick to this till the day I die ...the refs will never cheat FOR Central.

I'm not even saying that a ref would cheat FOR or AGAINST Central. Refs that are completely honest and impartial can still make mistakes. A couple of bad calls CAN impact the game in favor of one team or the other.

My point was that the refs may be impartial but still make bad calls that ended up favoring one team. At least in the playoffs, it is just as likely to happen in favor of the road team as for the home team. So it's not impossible that Central got an edge from the officiating the other night.

Again, not saying what did or didn't happen. Just saying that it is possible.

WOW I had some doubt about this call but this really cleared it up for me. I hope somebody post other calls that were questionable!

Do you still thank it is obvious? His body twisted from the force of the defender jumping on him.

I don't believe the refs in anyway would have cheated for either team. However, I do think they made game altering calls in Centrals favor. A couple of which were egregious calls. But, the officials are part of the game and the luck and bounces went in Centrals favor. It was not even close to a face mask and I will stick to that until the day I die...

Bell County fans don't always post on BGR, but when they do they are classless. Bell County wasn't on the same level as Corbin or Central. After Central won and they continued to celebrate on Corbins field for 20 plus minutes nothing was said to them. Corbin seniors were trying to gather their last moments on their home field while Central chose to sing, dance, and chant. Yet, Corbin didn't say a word, they understood how to lose with class, something that still escapes Bell County.

Lose with class huh. You guys are on here complaining about some calls at you home field. Where is the class in that? You were up 26 to 0 and you lost. Let me say that again 26 to 0. You lost because you didn't have the discipline to end the game by not letting them come back. You guys can't even win with class much less lose with class.

Bell county fans are posting about events when they werent at the game to see what transpired and havent watched the video replays. Bell County talked smack before the game of how Corbin couldnt play with central and definitely couldnt run on centrals defense. Corbin rushed for over 300 yards on central. Bell is bitter because they werent on the same level as either of these teams. Corbins defense kept central in the game the refs gave them a chance to win it. Corbins defense made the stop before the clock hit zero. Corbin led every second of a 48 minute game.

But you lost just like Bell County didn't you? So I hope your stats keep you warm at night.
Just a quick observation...if Bell was not on the same level as Corbin and Central...then why were their games so close . Corbin Must have gotten out coached or are the Bell players better and they overcome the coaching. Just curious.

Stop whining and take it , we did. We are all watching them again. Corbin is the best team not to make the semis, feel better?

Good angle. Unless he grabs the face mask to bring him all the way down after the initial hit, I don't see one.
I was at this game, Corbin was the better team. Got outplayed in crunch time which was very rare this year.
