Paintsville 92 - Johnson Central 68
#1
paintsville dominated jc, ouch.... good game p-ville

Paintsville takes the regular season district title and the number one seed going into the tournament.

Johnson Central never had a shot in this one, it was over from the beginning. It'll be interesting to see how the Eagles rebound from an embarassing loss at home. Will Paintsville be able to carry the momentum on for the district tournament? It's going to be an exciting district tournament.

#10
:omg: Thought it would be a lot closer!

Total domination for the Tigers. I thought JC would have played harder than they did. IMO we could be bait for Sheldon Clark if a little more effort is not put into these games. I am not sold on this new coach, we have not been beat this bad by the Tiger's ever. If JC is defeated in the first game of the district will the power's to be pull the plug on Starne's much as they did Humphrey's in football, one year and out. Stay tuned,it could get interesting.

wat happened to JC

There is no reason for eveyone to panic over this loss. The Tigers came out hot tonight and played their best game of the season.I think coach starns will have his team ready for districts.I can't wait for tourney time so everyone can watch the Tigers crash and burn!!!

I'm with you Calvin. How can you give up 54 in a half. Nice defense Eagles. Joke!!!! What a joke!!!! Starn's tries to explain in the post game but he sounded pathetic. This guy could be on his way back to Mason County if he doesn't get out of the district.

Total "team" effort by the guys tonight. Defense was the key to the win. We held JCHS to 27 points at halftime and played great offensively. I hope we keep it up next week against P-burg and Pike Central!!!!

congrats Tigers !!!!

I think you guys are the joke! How can you blame a coach when a team shoots almost 90 percent in a quarter and 75 until the fourth quarter. That is how you score 54 in a half. I would like to have seen you coach this team. It wasn't just one guy it was the whole team. I wonder what he thinks of your explanation on this site? I agree Paintsville played to their potential tonite. What can you do? Seems like you have the answer though! Congrats Tigers! Hope we meet again in a couple of weeks.

They shot layups Eagle's Eye. You must play a little defense. It was pathetic. You know it and I know it.
#22
Wow never thought Johnson Central would get beat that bad.

When is a layup a three pointer or a fifteen foot jump shot? I was there and I am not blind. Defense was lacking but sometimes you just have that kind of night. We were not ready to play and it showed. How can that team out rebound us. That is my concern not defense. We played timid tonite and not aggressive. Paintsville did. That is what I know and most others that actually watch a game instead of finding ways to trash a team and its coach. :thumb:

Too many uncontested shots. C'mon, I was there and it was embarassing for JC fans. My question is How can you not be ready to play one of the biggest games of the year? Oh well, district is coming up. Lose out on your home floor and it could be a total disaster for this program.

Paintsville did a GREAT job tonight. They played like we expected them to all year. Central got outplayed badly in the first quarter. I think Paintsville only missed a couple of shots in the first and they shot 60% from three in that quarter. Someone from Paintsville was always open and everything they threw up went in. Congrats to the Tigers. The 57th Tourney should be a great one.

Great display of a TEAM effort by the Tigers tonight. Landon and J.D. were on fire from the field and a bunch of shots were uncontested. Grimm played an excellent game too. He always gives 100% on the floor. Congrats to the Tigers on a huge win. I hope they keep this up until tournament time.
#27
Congrats paintsville....i thought this game would have been much closer....
