Scotty_Bronson Wrote:im still shocked by this score. with this happening, it makes me almost glad that Raceland had to really fight to win against Fairview again. hopefully keeps us from getting the big head. Pikeville was my pick to rep the east. Paintsville was my sleeper that seems to have finally woke up. Can someone tell me what the difference was to cause a nearly 80 point turnaround? this just doesnt happen. Raceland thumped Pikeville 54-12 at home then lost in OT by 6 AT Pikeville in the playoffs. But that game was on the road and it took OT to decide the winner. this game never seemed to be in question. Has the offense changed? Bc the offense that I saw against Raceland in the regular season was dormant. Extremely happy for Paintsville! Go tigers...till about 6 days and 18 hours from now. Enjoy this one!!
I told the difference in an above post nicker:

Do you guys think we will ever hear from Jet again or is he finished?
Please come back Jet please!!!!

Did Paintsville figure out how to utilize Daniel, Belcher, and particularly Hendricks? I watched them play Raceland a few weeks ago and their offense was terrible. Didn't play to the strengths of these 3 at all.

My guess is you'll never hear from him again.

Congrats to Paintsville. They clearly were ready to play. No excuses. Just lined up and took it from Pikeville

How bad would pjdoug be if he were truly a Williamsburg fan?

I'd say he's had a mass heart attack..

I guess this is a no fly zone.

He's not going to show boys,no nuts. All that talk, all that wisdom when it comes to football.Jet pilot buddy I think we can put all your knowledge into a thimble.I wish my Rams could have played Pikeville we would've put 40+ on them.Raceland and Pikeville best game never played. But I guess my Rams are lucky we would have just lost because no class A team can come to Pikeville and beat this Pikeville team!!!!

I always knew Paintsville was the Big Brother in Johnson County!!!! nicker: This one did catch me by surprise. Good Win Paintsville and Good Season Pikeville.

Sort of like some gloaters should wait a while before posting too. Oh well. Been said a couple times already, I will say it again congrats Tigers.

Hey Bryson your move to pikeville really helped u go farther this year in football didn't it bub. Imagine if you would have stayed with your true friends and played what could have happened . Benefitted it you and the panthers well , made it to 2nd round of playoffs then got bent over just like ur old hawk teammates did.

Congrats Paintsville! Great win

OOOOOhhhhh... That won't go over well across the creek. nicker:
But to be honest, most real football fans at Central will secretly be happy for the Tigers...

Nothing I usually say goes over well up, down or across the Creek nicker: Which reminds me I've not seen my old friend Bobby Seger in awhile. Just want to check in and make sure he is ok?

Does this mean if I go to Pikeville next week I'll be in the wrong place?
11-15-2014, 06:44 AM
Kudos to Paintsville. Hard to get kids to believe they can win after getting shellacked. Coaches did a wonderful job instilling in their kids belief in themselves.

Congratulations to the Tiger players and staff.
Heads up, Panthers. This one will hurt for a long time, find a way to get up and keep moving the program forward. Hail Pikeville!

He and some others should have held off earlier in the week. Then there wouldn't be gloaters.

I was hoping to make a video of the Williamsburg and Pikeville game.....well nexts....I been saying somebody all year. hh:

The program takes a step back with a loss like this in the second round of the playoffs especially with all those supplements those kids are taking. They should have beat paintsville just as bad as they did first time . This is What happens when u to worried bout how much u bench or how good ur next opponent was going to be . Instead of being concerned at the task at hand

Anybody know how they did it? My guess is Painsville found ways to get number 8 the ball in space. That cat is fast!

Unbelievable win for the Tigers! Congratulations on this huge upset. The Rams will definitely have their work cut out for them next Friday! Safe travels, Tiger fans!

Im not a Pikeville or Paintsville person....I just know that I have been watching FB my entire life and I have never heard of a turn around like this. From 62-8 loss to a 30some to 6, 7, or 8, whatever it was, is amazing! This game is shocking. I hope they Ky media really publicizes this. Its something else. Congrats to Paintsville and congrats to Pikeville also on an outstanding season!!

Paintsville just avenged one of their losses this year. They have a chance to avenge their other loss next week.
How cool is that? Can lightning strike twice?

I sure hope lightning doesn't strike twice. Paintsville is definitely the Cinderella story of the 1A playoffs now. Brings to mind the scene of Carl the greens keeper standing in the flower bed with the sickle, lol. I wonder if the Tigers walked off the field tonight with "tears in their eyes" as they came out of no where to shock the crowd at Augusta? IT'S IN THE HOLE !!

In Pikeville's preseason thread I picked Paintsville to beat Pikeville. Not in the playoffs but I'll take it.
