I heard today that we will have pikeville in week 10 next year.an belfry and lawernce also sheldon stay the same.
#4
Magoffin co. Also joins the district next year. Pike central line is undersized, unless they have a qb as athletic justice it could be a long year for pcc. Belfry will be better, lc will be better, magoffin is coming along their program is getting better each year, sheldon clark has a lot up in the air over there with the school but if those boys stick together they will be tough next year also.
#5
Yeah i know thats what im afraid of,we will lose 14 seniors but our line is young it will probably be year after when we starten show alot when everybody gets bigger and stronger, there loaded with talent just smaller.
#6
I know year after next year we will be loaded pretty good.at qb and rb an lineman
#7
Magoffin Co. isn't going to be in our district next season. Our district remains the same, Belfry/Lawrence Co. & Sheldon Clark.

It was proposed, but not the final outcome.

What kind teams we bringing in next year sure hope we got more home games,I'm a die hard PC fan but to be honest we need a new off corrditnor an d corrdtinor,
#12
I also heard that phelps was going to be our pike county bowl opponent next year, which is stupid if true.
#13
Several players have mentioned central pick up a few weaker teams I dint know if this is a good idea for a long playoff run. May , make u look better at first but when u play the same cupcakes pikeville plays in the second half of the season, you ll end up like pikeville losing in second round of playoffs again

So Pikeville shouldn't play their mandatory district games? Smart. Can't help it all the other county schools except Belfry are traditionally weak. And so is South Floyd, Allen Central, etc. I suppose they should just give up football since Pike Central now has more success than they do.... Oh wait. That's right. Still can't beat Belfry.
#15
I was told Pike Central will play Shelby Valley in the Pike County Bowl.
#16
Our schedule next year is by no means a pushover, several tough games slated.

That's all I'm gonna say about it.
#17
I have heard we may have some kids move into our area and play for the Hawks. Anyone else hearing anything?
#18
Conn will be an excellent QB for PC by the time he is a Junior and a game changer when he is a Senior... but next year losing Justice, Wesley, and Elkins will be some HUGE holes to fill.

I think PC takes a step back.

Be careful or a certain poster on this site will say you are chasing those kids with transfer papers in your pockets. Lol
#20
LOL from what I hear these kids are actually chasing PCC. Qb and WR combo that wants to air it out. Hope it's true.

I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree, I still believe that we'll be highly competitive next season.

Yes, losing 14 seniors is going to be tough and it's mostly our skill positions.

But, we return most of our offensive & defensive lines next season and for once we've actually had some solid depth there to step right in and replace what little we lost.

Most of the defense returns, and I think they can only get better with more coaching & seasoning from a great defensive mind like Coach Thacker.

We also had a big breakout player which you seen first hand, a RB named Austin Mullins who is a big kid that can be hard to bring down, but he's also super, super quick and he'll only be a Junior next season. I expect big things for him!

It'll be another tough, physical season, a lot of tough opponents lined up next season.

Shelby Valley in the Pike County Bowl
Belfry mid-season
Pikeville in the last game of the season

Sprinkle in Lawrence County, Sheldon Clark, and a few nobodies, and Pike Central could be on the tail end of a sub .500 season.

I have to disagree. You are losing one of the best classes to come through Pike Central and you are another year removed from Coach Chapman. The next 3 years will tell if Coach Thacker was a good hire.

I look for PCC to drop off some from this season due to the losses of Justice and Elkins. A tandem doesn't come through like those 2 too often. Look for them to place 3rd again in the district.
#26
What happened to Central this year.....They had outstanding athletes....Probably the best quarter back in the mountains....kicker that anyone would love to have....Receivers that were quick and smart...Backs that were very strong and capable....Yet they failed to have a winning season. Mac/Brad/Chris and Fields (to name a few) could have started for anybody....I sure hope that the program doesn't regress.....great kids.
#27
I didn't understand it either we could of had a better season 10 to 1,Shawn's a great guy but I think the team played harder for chapman, you could tell just by watching them.i didn't understand lot of things this year changing the lineup taking the starters out that had been starting on online an decline for 2 years an replacing with freshmen, people told me they had 2 groups chapman groups and Shawn's group.just made a lot of mistakes coaching this year, hope we don't go out like before chapman was there.

Hey, bud. Just ask around. It was the truth about the transfer papers. So just stop embarrassing yourself. You only know what you have heard. Others have seen and know for a fact. The truth will stand when nothing else will. LOL:dudecomeon:
