I'm sure 55 will tune in soon, but I hear Caverna threw the kitchen sink at us tonight! LOL

Congrats to Caverna on scoring 24 points lol

Defense can't step on the field thinking they don't have to play and win in the playoffs. They looked lackluster tonight. However it was weird. One kickoff return for touchdown. One fumblerooski for a touchdown. One pass thrown to our linebacker that gets tipped into the air and comes down right into the hands of their rec in the wide open to run it in for touchdown. It was a full moon though.

Very strange game.

Fumblerooski is a tough play to execute. So are you saying only two scores were actually on the defense? I'm not counting the freak play that tipped off the linebacker.

At least 18 was against the 1st unit.. Offense was great all night, but, defense didn't play well. Give Caverna credit, they came to play and they were a lot better than they've been the past few years. I think the D was just flat and not ready to play and got put on there heels a few times. Even so, they had no answer for the offense and still won going away..

The fumblerooski was weird, someone knocks there runners butt off, the ball flies back, and is caught, everyone runs to the pile, both sides are pushing forward progress apears to be stopped, refs dont blow the whistle, someone runs out of the back of the mob and around clear to the endzone.

Basically there was a kick return, and 2 strange plays there offense scored on, but there first score wasnt a fluke at all as it was a very nice pass, the thing i noticed was they had some speed. Even on the kick return and the 2 strange plays they had some fast runners compared to alot of teams. If caverna had a defense they would be a descent team. The offense is what worries me about mayfield, and caverna had no answer. Defense will be fine, and this will be something to learn from. Almost Every year ive watched mayfield there is a game or 2 where we look uninspired, so this dont concern me. In the 3rd round mayfield will turn it on.

Hard to keep young men focused sometimes. Better they have that flat game now.

It happens almost every year in the early playoff rounds. Last year mayfieldsportsfan, and myself spoke after the 2nd round against holy cross about how uninspired we looked. In 2012 we were losing at half in rounds 2, and 3.

It sounds more like a botched play that had similarities to the fumblerooski. The actual fumblerooski is difficult for good teams to execute.

Well I got the rest of the scoop now that little 55 is home. The fumble flew back to the qb. They all hit him and had his forward momentum completely stopped. The refs didn't blow the whistle. He pitched the ball back to a rb and that's who came around the end of the scrum for the td.

One legit TD, the others were weird, the kickoff return the runner should have tackled around the 15 but give Caverna credit the kid made a nice run. Caverna was slightly better than expected. The linebackers didn't have their best game.

That makes more sense.

The kickoff return was a chance for that shifty little back of Caverna to showcase his talents. He was really good. When Trajon Bright and Jordan Tyler are having troubles catching you, you know you are fast.
