Johnson Central 35 Belfry 0
#1
Final
#2
way to go Johnson Central. now go do something in the playoffs.
#3
Complete domination.

Rough night for the pirates. Wish they would have been 100% to make this a better game. Now we have to get Corbett healthy. The injury woes continue. It didn't help having basically 2nd string defense line but most scores were scored on the outside so oh well. Good game JC and good luck in the playoffs. Pulp sorry I didn't get up with ya but the music was awesome. On to the playoffs.

Johnson Central proved they are #1 in the mountains. Congrats to those guys and good luck in the playoffs.

Pirates can regroup and will, hoping Corbett is OK.
#6
Congrats JC. Congrats to both teams on the regular season. JC must really be FOR REAL!
#7
Congrats to JC. Laid claim to king of the mountains tonight.
#8
I hope JC is at least tested once before facing Highlands.
#9
Congratulations Johnson Central on your win!!

Prayers to Belfry's injury list; it's a long one!!

I'd rather we just not get tested the NEXT five games, either...

But really, congrats to the Golden Eagles on another fantastic effort and season. Every test this year has been passed by these young guys with flying colors. A second consecutive 10-0 season is a fantastic achievement, and I'm proud to be an alumnus and fan and even more excited about this team's future. From someone who remembers the not-so-good days very well, 10-0 is way, way more fun than 0-10, and it's a credit to Coach Matney and the staff and players how far this football program and community have come since his arrival.

No test there lol

So I take it, most like it will be Harrison County, which is a blowout, Cov Cath, which should be a blowout, and then Highlands at home.
#16
That will be very ugly.
#17
Belfry needs to get healthy fast or something Pond Creek Nation will hate to see is going to happen and that eating Thanksgiving dinner at the house and then no football game the next day!!!

Harrison County game may be, but the Covington Catholic game should be a war. I'd expect no less.

Congrats to a very good JC team. I know Belfry was short handed, but this pirate team has a knack for coming out flat at times. They show no life, and disconnected on the job at hand. I know there young but they need to play like there is no tomorrow.

After seeing what Highlands did to CC, I hope for JC's sake that CC is not a war for them.

This Harrison team should not be much of a threat, and Cov Cath has not looked good and has had a lot of injuries. But, last year the talk was also that JC was going to smoke Cov Cath and look what happened. I do not think anybody can be sure what JC has yet because of their cupcake schedule. Cov Cath has looked bad, but I would guess they are going to give Central a game.

Congrats to JC on a good season. Now the real season begins. Best of luck in the playoffs and maybe we can play each other in the semis if we both take care of business...

It's Highlands. They do that to everyone. I really hope 5A has as much fun with them next year as we have for the last decade.

I'd be thrilled to see this. In fact, if this happens I will probably burn a couch.

Congrats to the Eagels on a great win with no problem. Good luck in the play offs. Thanks for turning the music down. Made it enjoyable to listen to.

Belfry.... you guys will be scary good IF you can get all of your starters back. It looked like there was more players not dressed out than in uniform.

You guys had a nice crowd. It was cold rained the entire game and your team wasn't playing with all of it's weapons.... but The Pond Creek Nation made a nice showing.

On a serious note.... if The Angry Red can get all of their injured players back, 3A needs to watch out. The Pirates will be bringing #4 to BHS.

The last time Belfry was shutout in the regular season........
October 24th 2003 against Ironton, OH 0-18.
Belfry would win the 2A state championship that season over Elizabethtown 33-27.

In the playoffs....
Nov. 24th 2006 in the State Semi-Finals vs. Russell (13-2) 0-19. Belfry went 11-3 that season.
Russell would loose in the State Championship to Mercer County 12-15.
