rookie personally i think that the worst game i have ever played in and seen would be the freshman tournament, the powell and owsley, there isnt a person that would tell you that game would be considered terrible by a billion reasons

I would have to say the game between Magoffin Co. and Breathitt Co. at Breathitt. I have never seen such a horrible and biased called game. Just terrible.

I agree Nellybeans...I normally cant stand it when people blame losing on refs. but in this case, I have to say the 3 refs that was at the freshman tourney@ Powell ..they disguisted me. I'm shocked that the Freshman Lady Owls, only lost by 10.....its hard to win a game with 5 powell players and 3 refs. against you. but, owsley never gave up, they showed 110% the whole game...till the buzzer sounded they worked their butts off...but that was the most horrible game I have ever played in, I'm sure glad I wasnt watching it, it wasnt basketball...it was a mix between wrestling/football....just thought I'd express how i felt about this game. :boosign: hithappe :lame:

I definently have to say that Pinkie32 and Nellybeans are right, the freshman tournament at Powell between Powell and Owsley was a terrible...the whole game the refs would call almost nothing on Powell. They pushed, tugged and hassled the other team all game. I wouldn't normally blame the game only on the refs either, but this game definently was a terrible game against the refs, they should have gotten the championship trophy for winnin the game for them. However, Powell did play tough and I am not blaming the ENTIRE game on the refs, but 75% of it was. Hopefully next time the calling will be more fair.The :ref1:=:lame: ...:ChairHit:

I think 5-6 of us agree, that the 56th district freshman tournament at Powell County this past Wednesday night was one of the worst I have ever witnessed. Whenever the Lady Owls got close, the ref's began calling awful, picky calls that was very uncalled for. Then on the Lady Owls end, girls would be be rolling all over the floor and not a call. It was pathetic and I would love to tell this to all three of the refs that were there that night, so you three guys......you sucked!!!

I would have to agree with all of you all on the 56th Freshman tournament. The Lady owls DIDN'T get any brakes at all. Ladies I do beleive you all deserved that better and I beleive if you all would have had better refs, you'd brung home 1st place.

you all just dont remember the 15th region Tourney. ER cheated aganist allen central and the ref got what he deserved a punch in the face. Then they also cheated aganist sheldon clark. But the worst was aganist pike central. Last sec shot the buzzer was of ffor a tleast 2 sec . The reefs should be fired for that tourney, congrats ancy casey for picking them, you did a good job.

For one thing teams from other regions are going to have to realize that you can't come to the 14th region and get calls you are used too..That is any where. The 15th region is a fairly rough playing region. The refs will let you get rough to a point. The refs in the 14th dont want the game to get rough at all. And for another it is all according who the ref's were that game. Who were the refs. Someone PM me and tell me that way I can give a better explanation on this subject.

To clear the air a little about this game, it was not a very tight called game in the least. This game was nothing less than a mugging. Players where throwing punches from Breathitt, one player flat lined Calloray Howard and nothing was called. Ref's had no control of this game what so ever. They went as far as to T a Magoffin player for stepping between one of her teammates and a Breathitt Co. player to try to stop an incident from escalding further. Ref's even gave Magoffin the ball after the 3rd quarter and it was supposed to be Breathitt's ball. It was horrible cause of the lack of control the ref's actually had. Hope and pray Magoffin never has to play at Breathitt again.

Worst called game I have EVER seen. Wish I had a video, I would take it straight to Ancie Casey -anybody who knows these refs, PLEASE get their side on what the heck happened and inform the rest of us. It really looked like they were taunting Napier and Valley, just to see how much they could get away with.
I know it is awful to say, but last night was the first time I have ever wanted to see the refs get fired - they really dont deserve to participate in sports - you shouldnt be able to treat kids that way! First quarter, they let Valley beat PC to death. Then the rest of the game, they called invisible fouls, and sometimes they tried to make up for by throwing in a foul on PC, but it was so obvious it was ridiculous. Whistle happy!

I would have to agree. I'm not one to complain about refs either. I would love to know the foul ratio. They were very inconsistent, and all I could do was laugh when fouls would get called on Valley girls when they were the ones lying on the floor.

well, right now this has nothing to do with what people are talking about, i just want to say if i have ever seen a bad game, of course it would be the 14th region freshman tournament Powell v/s Owsley, but what i want to say is that i could never be more proud of the Owsley jv coach getting that technical foul for screaming at the ref. i can tell that he done that for us and i would just love to hear what he said to the ref.
