Your football knowledge is far superior to mine, but I can't really explain it. A few key injuries to some important players have added to the demise, but mostly these kids just don't play well as a team. Can a group,of kids just not blend together ?
Sounds like you have A leadership problem somebody is going to have to start from scratch I t may hurt but some changes need to be made trust me. Boys that age don't majically fall together they sometimes have to be put together and sometimes that requires painfull decisions.

Even though the 1st and 2nd string RB's are out with injuries and I heard the fullback may only play on Defense I still think the Panthers will win

Looking at this game without any bias or emotion one would have to expect the Panthers to have a great chance to get the monkey off their back and beat the Lakers for the first time, winning a District title in the process. However, I am admittedly bias and high school football has a lot to do with emotion, and you never know what is going to happen until you play the game! I hope it is a good one! I will be setting in Crossville TN watching my son's new team while holding my phone to my ear to listen to the Laker game on the radio. I hope the Lakers come out and play hard, no one expects them to win, they really have nothing to lose. I love and miss those boys and coaches! Here's hoping they pull the upset of the week! Anchor Down!

Always easy to want to blame individuals in our society today. Let's blame the coach, gotta be his fault!! No, my man, I can't agree. Leadership is solid! As an individual that has overseen many "group" projects, sometimes the group works well together and sometimes they don't. Maybe, it was a lack of my ability to bring the crew together but the vast majority of times I could get my crew to excel. I think for the few times we had a group that didn't come together the fault lay with the chemistry and not the leadership. I guess "leaders wanna blame the crew" and " the crew wants to blame the leadership"!
