Williamsburg is coming somewhere in the east I'm just not sure yet.Paintsville,Raceland or Pieville. :lmao:

I don't know if our QB is any good or not, he keeps hiding his ability. He does the job early and takes his pads off and watches the game the last 3 quarters.

As any decent QB would be doing against your schedule. Not preparing him for good teams though.

Son if you don't win it all you lose, and only Mayfield won it all. You went to BG and stunk it up and embarrassed us all. Congrats. Yeah I will look at all our championship trophies and you can at least look at that highlight where you scored one time in BG. Wait, scratch that.hh:

Every time somebody throws a wrench into a point you're trying to make you just simply ignore it and hope everyone will forget about it and then spend the next few posts repeating the same thing over and over. So I'll simply keep asking, how do you explain the varsity players at Sheldon Clark winning a state title in middle school and they can't win a game in high school? Middle school is completely irrevelant to what will occur in high school. Its not taking anything away from them, it just doesn't speak towards their preparedness in a high school state title game.
First I want you to look at what I said, I never said anywhere that winning A state championship in middle school had any thing to do with how you play out in High school. As far as Sheldon Clark is concerned I don't think middle school ball, can do anything but help you. If it didn't I don't think we would have it. If you want to find out what happened to them. I want to refere you to 3 areas that you might want to explore 1 did you have same coach in middle school as in HS, 2 do you have the same athletes. 3 is your coaching in HS sound. Do the athletes enjoy playing as much for the HS coach as much as the MScoach.

I'm glad we are all getting along on here.... Williamsburg made it last year and its all great but it's a new year. So let's talk about why our teams make it..
10-22-2014, 09:59 AM
Well, if you use the Wburg logic, we wont be back. We only return 3 starters from last year on offense. We also only return 4 starters from last years defense. Heck, we even lost our kicker. We also did not win any middle school state championships. We can't win then.

We never ever got to do that before, we have and will talk about our kids and that experience for years to come, where were you and your favorite team when we were having all that fun?
10-22-2014, 12:13 PM
We are the same team with some improvements and A year to work to get better and up to now no injuries like we played with last year. I realize we just have A very small line, and big fat running back, and A brand new inexperience Qb and it looks imposibile since we will be playing all those teams with all those trophies, you know that is scary, I just hope and pray we get the opportunity to try, that was so much fun.

Williamsburg didn't make Pikeville look bad last year but RACELAND SURE DID. We didn't get the chance.

You're finally starting to back track into reality? That's good. You did say basically because these players played in a middle school state title they would be more prepared than others because "they've been there before." And the second thing speaks a lot to what I've been trying to say regarding the complaints over Mayfield having more kids in their school. The same reasons you listed is exactly why an Allen Central for example isn't cleaning house in 1A. They don't have the program and coaches others do, nor do they have the community or administration support. As far as Sheldon Clark goes, the reason they won in middle school and aren't winning now is simple, its a completely different situation. And that is why Williamsburg could win that tournament every year and it won't do anything for them when they get up to their junior or senior years. So many variables are involved and its no way fair to say to a group of kids that they should win because they won when they were in middle school. Just look at Middlesboro? They put winning a state title on that group a long time ago based off similar reasons and it was not reality at all.

You keep saying over and over and over, "We are the same team as last year." That is simply not true. The player that was responsible for 95% of the touchdowns Williamsburg scored last season is no longer there. I know everyone keeps saying the qb now is much better and so on, but what data are you basing that on? He has proven himself against great defenses all year? Nobody has seen how he is going to react in a state championship type atmosphere, and nobody knows what he will do in close games when the game is in his hands? Because of that you can not say with any credibility that the team is the same, because the team that went to the state championship game last year no longer has their offense?

You better hope history doesn't repete itself if it does you will be home again looking at all throphies and listing on the radio to Williamsburg, Raceland or Hazard, playing some team from the other side for the state championship.:biglmao:

One game at a time there will be plenty of time to debate later who goes on to BG when the game time gets here. For now, they are focused solely on Allen Central. The Raceland game last year was a catalyst for the success this year. Bigger, stronger, faster, and better. That is Pikeville's only focus right now.

You are right so lets look and see what is the same as last year, The Coach is the same. The kicker is the same (senior) The center is the same (senior) the right guard is the same (senior) the Right tackle is the same (senior) the left guard is the same (senior) left tackle is the same (senior) both wide receivers left and right same (seniors) both Slot receivers same (seniors) QB not the same, was receiver last year did not play in state championship game injured was one of the leading receivers in state last year even after missing last 2 games. (senior) running backs 1 not the same A transferee from Harlan County 5A 2nd leading rusher in 5A last year. (senior) the other same as last year (senior) there you have it you are right we are not the same, we lost one player. but we are 1 year older, and have A pretty good transferee. You are exactly right they have not been tested they have put every team except 1 in A running clock in the first or early 2nd quarter. We cant tell much about them they don't reveal much standing on the sideline watching the game for the last 3 quarters with no gear on, I agree with you it is awfull.

Williamsburg did play bad in Bowling Green last year, but why would a team that was sitting on the couch listening to it on the radio because they weren't good enough to be there be saying Williamsburg stunk the place up?tare::dudecomeon::Second:
