#1 Mayfield @ #5 Russellville 10-24-14

It's that time of year again and these 2 teams will again be battling for the district championship. What's everyone's thought on the one.

Mayfield 49

I dont think mayfield will win by that much.

This game will be more like the. 2nd time around last year.

Mayfield 21
Russellville 7

I agree it will be in that low scoring range..I don't think neither teams scores more than 28. But I do think Mayfield wins 24-14.

Mayfield 28-0

Russellville will be a descent game for Mayfield. Their only defeat is a one point loss to a pretty good Franklin Simpson team. Both defenses seem to be having good years? This one could come down to whomever gets the most breaks? I still think Mayfield pulls it out, 21-14

Mayfield 28
Russellville 14

Russellville is a solid team and very well coached. People don't really give them there due because they usually get beat by Mayfield in the regionals. Once Mayfield is gone after this year, other teams will likely get the chance to see how good this team really is..I put them right there with Frankfort, Raceland, W'burg & Hazard. I think they may be a step behind Beechwood and what Pikevile has this year, but, certainly capable of beating all the other 1a teams on a given day..
#10
Let's do a little math here. Russellville gets beat by 1 point to a team that beat Graves Co by 2 points. Mayfield shut out Graves Co and won by 3 touchdowns at Graves. Mayfield put a running clock on Fort Campbell. The next week Russellville squeaks by Fort Campbell. If it was just one game you could say, don't compare scores. The deal is though with 2 teams in common, you really have to pay attention to that.

Tell us how good Russellville is not, when they go to Holy Cross as a #2 seed and win that game to come to Mayfield in the 3rd round. They are still a pretty solid team. They have a very good coach as well.

Said in my best Robert De Niro voice, "You talkin' to me?"
Russellville is good. Just better last year. Lost good some seniors.

I watched the film. The big back from last year is still there. He looks to be better this year. They better hit him low. Once he gets powered up, he is a load.
#23
That guy is a tank.
#24
Yes he is.
#25
Mayfield by at least 2 touchdowns. Russellville is good but Mayfield is on a different level.
#26
Rsl'ville is especially tough at home. I do think Mfd handles them by a couple of scores, but, they'll have to play an A game or Rsl'ville could make it very interesting.. I think Mayfield's D will be deciding factor. They'll hold the Panthers to 1 or 2 scores and there offense is good enough to score 3 or 4.. Mfd 28 Rslv 13
#27
Russellville 21 Mayfield 14
#28
I hope.

Tomorrow at this time we should know who the district champs are.

He has slimmed down some and is a little bit faster.
