Hard to score on a defense like that. Jags roll
21-0
21-0

I hope to get to catch this game live. I love the jags and what they bring to the table. They are hard nose and smash mouth. South Laurel does have an offense that can make things happen but it won't be enough. Jags roll 35 to 14.

South will play harder than they've played all year, but North will win pretty handily.

Being cross town rivals, they will both get up for each other, but as hard as SL plays, NL will play that much harder. I have watched them enough to know they play tuff nose football - they are no light weight team by any standard. They will hit you & hit you hard! :blabbermo

This won't be A contest I don't think South will score.

Why?
Isnt that hoping your team loses to Letcher and not win the Dist?

Yeah, I know, some of our North posters are getting a little giddy, and Whitley would be a tough matchup with Woods slinging it all over the place. It is nice though for a change to have a program that is at the very least relevant, something we haven't been very often. And guys for North to come there, Whitley will have to lose tonight, so do you really want that?
As for the South game, the thing that worries me a little is that South can be explosive on offense at times, and this is their Super Bowl, since they are out of playoff contention. They desperately need a win to get some interest going in their program going forward. But I think North's grinders will keep their offense on the sidelines for most of the night, and the Jags win, somewhere in the neighborhood of 31-7.

Jags have better athletes and far better coaches. This is a mismatch.

Obviously I don't want whitley to lose tonight. I would just rather get a shot at North than face MS again. However without Harris MS will be a much easier opponent. That's if he doesn't come back. Best case scenario for Whitley is to win district and get a MS team minus Harris in the first round at home.

Other than the obvious reasons state, why would you want to play North? Their defense has improved each and every game this season. Best in the region from what I've seen. Best case of Whitley getting a playoff win is Lincoln Co, or a Damien Harris-less Madison Southern.

Easy boys, careful what u wish for. If we come out of these next 2 games healthy, our boys are tired of coming up on the short end of the playoffs. They will be hungry!

The easiest route is getting Lincoln or Madison Southern with or without a Harris. North is better than both of those teams.
I would just like to see North play Whitley.

Jags will put a running clock on the Cardinals and will be ready to go to Letcher or Whitley. It does not matter which team we beat in the playoffs first round. GET SOME!
