1A Domination at the top
#1
Mayfield - 69-0
Pikeville - 55-0
Beechwood - 62-0
Williamsburg - 48-21
Raceland - 48-6
Frankfort - 64-6
Russellville - 56-0
Hazard - 43-6
Holy Cross - 48-22
Paintsville - 41-12

Granted, most of these victims barely have a pulse, but, still, the powers all took care of business in impressive fashion.

Did anything happen this week that would lend you to believe any of these teams should drop or move up in the rankings, be it by there performance or by one of there opponents performance.

A couple of things stood out to me. 1) The way Belfry struggled with Lawrence Co vs the way Raceland dominated Lawrence makes me think the Rams may be a little better than what they're getting credit for and that Pikeville win vs Belfry may not be quite as impressive as initially thought. Still a great win, but, the Pirates may not be quite the juggernaut as initially thought. I also understand that Belfry is pretty beat up right now, but, a #1 3a team should have enough depth to still handle a middle of the road team handily. 2) The Dixie win vs S.Kenton makes the Beechwood loss look a lot better as they played them as close as an undefeated 6a team did.

If I were to rank the teams right now, here's how I'd rank them:

1) Mayfield
2) Beechwood
3) Pikeville
4) Raceland
5) Williamsburg
6) Russellville
7) Hazard
8) Frankfort
9) Holy Cross
10) Paintsville

What say you?

You made some good points but, you have to be careful comparing scores. For instance, McCracken Co beat Mayfield by 1. Mayfield shut out Graves Co. But, Graves Co beat McCracken. It has a lot to do with how they match up. It also has to do with how inspired teams play.

The top 8 or so looks to be very strong, particularly the top 5.
