Pike County Central @ Belfry 10-24-14
#1
Hawk travel to the cam for a district match-up who you guys got?
#2
Belfry likely rushes for 400+... To get the upset, Pike Central will need to match it through the air.
#3
Your telling the truth brother,i think we could pass on em without any mistakes, we would have to play a pwrfect game like we did tonight
#4
Belfry pass D usually has the bend but don't break mentality. In this game. They don't need to bend a whole lot. I think PC pass game could wear down the belfry secondary. But I don't know if the PC defense is ready for Mr. Hatfield and company. Belfry captures another district title 41-22
#5
Thats whats going to hurt us a whole lot is austin hatfield, my opinion he is 1 of the best fullbacks in the ky,we might wear there secondary down they got playmakers back there but not like they use 2 have, id say belfry 41-28
#6
I not only think Pike Central can win I think they will win,
#7
Pike central has A great QB one of the best in the state.
#8
Yeah we got a great QB, But it will be a tough game for our young dline and oline,we will have to play our best game of the year, what i seen tonight we played our best game all season belfry will bring a game foraure they always do they will prolly be the bset team we have seen running wise all year also hopefully we could pull a upset going to be tough im pc though and though but it will tough
#9
Will be a great game and I got to go with Belfry in this one. Much respect to both programs and I hope everyone stays healthy for the playoffs!!!!!!
#10
Belfry should take this one, the Hawks are improved some but not where they need to be defensivly to beat the Pirates.

Belfry 42

Pike Central 28

Depends on the injury report for Belfry. Getting Edwards back will help a little with timing it would seem. Would be surprised to see Willis and Catron won't return until playoffs.

Freshman Devan Varney will be called on to really step up big.
#12
What is Willis ailing from?
#13
Willis tending an ankle injury. Was in street clothes last night but not a bad limp. I would say they will play it safe and hold him against PC.
#14
^ I hope Willis is 100% against JC. I though that is not a necessary game but I'd like to be healthy and be able to get it.
#15
I know that it will have tobe an upset but I also know that Pike has the personell to pull it off. If every thing falls in place look for an upset.
#16
Look for the excitement,
#17
If Belfry does not get the kinks worked out PCC may pull out the win. I will go with PCC so we all can get our calculators and protractors out to figure on the convoluted tie breaker that EKU pointed out.

Best of luck to the Pirates, as always we hope for a good clean, injury free game.

I would hate to be the team that plays belfry next. Regardless of the injury report, I don't see them having a lot of trouble in this one? PCC's passing game is a good one, but a lot of that relies on the offensive line. Belfry will most likely be in the backfield on every play making it extremely hard to execute most passing situations. If they can use belfry's d-line against them with screens and throws to the flats then they may be able to keep it close? I still see a three touchdown win for belfry though.

Gosh that night was so terrible, not just by the game itself but the weather...my goodness.

But I've seen that video several times, Wes always does superb work. I like it, even tho...yeah. Haha!
#28
Im glad of some of us from each side can get alone and havr common since lol
#29
This shows how good belfry is. Pike Central has a pretty good football team but are no match for Belfry.
#30
Belfry 35
PCC 14

Missing key players on both sides of the ball is killer and although Corbett played well in the 2nd half of the game last Friday, timing is still an issue. The backfield still has some kinks to work out with all the new faces. Our DB's are soft. You don't see any big hits coming from the DB's, and that makes it even easier on the opposing teams to pass it on us. Hopefully when Catron gets back to 100% he will change all of that, kid is a head hunter!
