Whitley County @ Harlan County 10/17
HDE Wrote:I think he's been to two overall, both at Rockcastle.
Harlan County has been playing football since the 1930s. Ed Miracle and Tim Saylor are the only two people who can top or match that.
If you're a Harlan County fan, you wouldn't be bashing coaches during the season, as Mama Bear said.
That's why Gut and Doug love it so, having someone from Harlan County tearing down the program, especially during the season. Talk about man crushes - you three are having too much fun.
What can I say? People with common sense kinda just run together.
Whitley Co 28
Harlan Co 20

Thank God you are no longer a fan of us because if you can't see what the problem is then you don't know much anyway and we are better off without you stirring problems and causing distention.
The only decline we are in is lack of overall skill and experience.
You are the most clueless and sad poster on here.
Now you go have a wonderful day and go workout so you can hopefully get that hate and jealousy out.
See you at the game tomorrow.

Well who do you blame? The kids only do what they are taught and told. You are the one that is trying to blame the kids!!! Say HC don't have enough skilled players is just like say hey your not good enough to play! That bull sh@t and you are the one who should be ashamed! Demarcus has always said he wishes nothing but the best for the black bears players. And right now the coaches aren't doing their job of making this team better.
So why don't you crawl back into what ever cave your crawled out of and stay there.

your nose is brown from following coach around and you want to talk man crush?:dudecomeon:. I also disagree with wouldn't be bashing coaches if you're a fan. some people get tired of doing the same thing over and over and getting the same result when they know they can do better, and some of you (coaches) are stuck in the past and cant accept change.

I think it's funny how people think they have no talent in their area yet surrounding areas do. I dont believe that BS for a second.people just make excuses.:biglmao:
Will someone tell me how many times Whitley has been to the semi finals?

I'm guessing that Whitley should win the state since they have such superior coaching and throw the ball. After all that is all you need isn't it?

not enough since they've always had the same offense that your team is running. You need to be able to pass and run,but if you want to keep getting the same result keep your current staff and keep running and running.more power to you. Go Black Bears

Youre taking things out of context.
Whitley has there fair share of wins. We were also content with running it up the gut, overpowering small mountain teams and only throwing it in dire situations, as well as being satisfied with district titles and that was it. And in 50 years, it has resulted in 0 state titles. The game has changed. If youre going to change your offense, it takes more time than one year, especially with a new coach. At least Chappell is opening up the playbook, but is smart enough to know when only running the ball will win the game like they did last week against Perry. Whitley is far from superior to anybody, but its a start.
Ive watched you take Demarcus' words and twist them over and over again, and hes doing the same thing every Whitley fan has been doing the last five years. There were some HC fans on here last year that PM'd me and said, look gut, you guys are gonna beat us this year, and I knew it wasn't going to happen. HC still had the man beef up front to move Whitley wherever they needed to, and Whitley continued to run the ball because that's all they knew how to do. HC stacked there box with bigger kids and killed them.
HC has had an unprecedented start, as does most schools who consolidate right off the bat. The difference is now, you don't have cawood boys, evarts boys, or Cumberland boys. You have Harlan County boys and you must adjust.

However, if you choose to keep it up, im fine with it. More district titles to go around

Demarcus talks about man crushes and you talk about brown nosing, even though you guys are the ones who agree about everything. I don't agree with anyone that much.
You guys can't talk intelligently without calling someone names or grabbing your laughing icons.
If I had 29 straight winning seasons, I'd be a little hesitant to change, too.

well spoken. speaking of Coach Jason Chappel and his staff.I have noticed a lot of things that I'm not used to seeing at Whitley County.they take advantage of mismatches and make adjustments when needed just like good coaches should do..if you stack the box on them they will throw it over the top where in the past they would keep running it up the gut repeatedly.

29 winning seasons and 0 state titles. Sounds legit..

Not true
We've been through this before.
Cawood, Evarts and Cumberland weren't very good. One playoff win in 15 years between them.
You got any examples besides Mercer County and Harlan County?

Letcher Central was pretty average for the first couple of years.
Bell County couldn't beat Cawood the first three years and won no district titles, much less regional titles
Other consolidations and their success:
Shelby Valley - no
Pike Central - no
South Floyd - no
East Ridge - no
Perry Central - no
Logan County - no
Muhlenberg North - no
Muhlenberg South - no
Muhlenberg Central - no
Graves County - no
Pulaski County - no
Laurel County - no
South Laurel - no
North Laurel - no

Interesting.
You have to win a state championship to be a legit coach.

Charlie Hunter wasn't a legit coach, or Tim Saylor or Jim Cullivan or anyone who ever coached in Harlan County besides Ed Miracle?
Charlie hunter was a cheater. I know I played for him. Lol. I guess I'm wrong then HDE congrats on beating mountain teams for 29 years but can't cut it when they have to play outside the area.just keep pilling up those elusive district titles, that way he looks good when entering the HOF. To bad though that they can't say state champ during introduction. Ive never seen a fan base that settles like this one.

I have Confusednicker:

That's the point!
Hitting the nail on the head has become your forte.

Are people happy with winning seasons? I know Whitley was under Campbell. Only 3 losing seasons in almost 20 years. Thought that was great.

But, no team should be satisfied with anything other than a state title. There the only things that mean something. Everybody wins a district title every now and then. Its the state titles that makes the great ones.
What about Cullivan and Saylor? Not legit coaches?

Im just glad me and you always agree.
Almost always.
You haven't found any other great merger successes yet have you?
Whitley will throw the ball all over the field in this one. But they'll be smart about it.
After watching Letcher dismantle HC with simple pass plays, I think this one is looking very good for Whitley.
HDE Wrote:Almost always.

I think Whitley County should annex Harlan County
HDE Wrote:Almost always.

Ive spoke my peace.
Sorry if im not up to date on Muhlenberg County football.
Ill have to get back to you on that one.

You've reaped the benefits of all those athletes coming together. Now, your recruiting one hallway instead of being given three.

We've got the newest school. Bring them over here.

nope.bring your new stadium to the Whitley campus

Yeah, I could have been making some of those up and you wouldn't know any better Smile A lot of useless information from 30 years of sports writing.
There were a lot of athletes here, but that's not because of consolidation. There was just a run of great athletes. There aren't as many at the moment.
When I go to Harlan County I like to keep up with the Joneses
It's so apparent and obvious of the altierier motives some have on here in hoping we lose. To try and cause distention in the fan base and team for personal motive.

Yep busted. You got me Confusednicker: you've seen nothing yet. Fans galore are heading this way with my way of thinking. You're the minority get ready....
