The only gripe I would have with Wburg, if I were a Wburg guy, would be not having any clue as to what we needed to work on. Yea, you've put a running clock on everyone minus Newport, but all of the other top 5-7 teams probably would have done the same. If Christian wouldnt have gotten hurt last year in the Semis, it would have been a different ball game, the adjustments were never made to stop him from gaining 4-6 yards a carry on two consecutive drives, If you go back and watch the film, that was Raceland's lone scoring drive and Wburg was beginning to unravel a bit. He goes down, Beach scores, then Raceland went back to playing soft again. Not saying we would have won, we dug ourselves into a pretty deep hole after that.

All I am saying is beating teams with a running clock is great, bit if its me, Im goina try to work on my run game instead of working on the same offensive sets with the jv guys. It WILL cause you problems in the long run. Its just a matter of time. With the backfield you all have theres no reason that a Power-I or Pro-Bone running attack, using the veer or tripple O shouldnt be effective. Whenever the Burg goes up against Pikeville or Raceland this November, it will show(not sold on Hazard's Def just yet). Quote me on that.

I know W-Burg is a VERY good team, but what happened to ONE GAME AT A TIME. I know you all can show up and beat Berea, but if this mentality keeps up...it will rear its ugly head sooner or later...IT ALWAYS DOES.

Williamsburg has and will play with all they have. usually mistake free, I am satisfied that when the last second comes off the clock Williamsburg will walk off the field with all the pride you would expect from A group or team of kids that has reached the top of the pinnacle. Will that be enough to take home the gold, I don't know, but the other team will have to take it they will not give it to you.

I had to go to FL on business last minute last year. But, Watched the game on ihigh thanks to a friend who may quite possibly have the best computer set up ive ever seen, I may as well been at the game.

But in any event, if Christian wouldnt have gotten hurt we would have been able to keep Wburg's offense off the field longer and sustained some drives that ended in points rather than running 3-8 plays and punting or turning it over on downs. Williamsburg was the better team that night and imo, if those to teams played eachother 10 times, Williamsburg would win 6 or 7 out of 10. You all were just alot quicker than we were upfront. That isnt the case this year and Pikeville is improved by 100%, they have shocked the hell out of me. Nothing against Williamsburg, they are a pretty damn good ball team again this year and rightfully, imo, have the No 1 spot in the east until someone knocks them off, which someone will in the playoffs. Mark it down. I will eat my crow if they dont, ive never got indigestion from eating my own words lol. But I wont have to.

Scottie I like you but, you could have put GURLEY FROM GA in your backfield last year and the results would have been the same, your problem was not your backs, your problem was your line was so slow you had to call time out to get them up to the ball. Scotty believe me Williamsburg's line killed you. if we played 2,000 games last year and the same personell lined up on the ball the results would be the same. I think you are much better this year mainly because your team is getting better and better. and some new personell. Scotty I am just telling you the truth. Don't take this wrong, Mayfield did us about the same way.

I have to agree with that.I watched both games. Raceland couldn't do anything against Williamsburg then Williamsburg couldn't do anything against Mayfiield,and it looked like they didn't even try to play.maybe the Williamsburg defense was froze to the ground nicker:

not that it would have helped you win,but the absence of Skyler on the field didn't help any either. I know you've made several improvements including having a good running game,and hope your line has improved drastically and nothing like it played at Bowling Green last December.

Agree to disagree. You all whipped us, regaurdless of why. The game would have been different had Christian stayed healthy. But he didnt, Skyler was hurt for that game and the missed the championship game. Williamsburg was a good team, BUT, they needed Griffiths breakaway and ability to trail Dalton in and out of the pocket whe he got pressured. But if ifs and buts were candies and nuts, u all wouldhave won a state championship or we would hae been in Bowling Green. It was what it was, no appology required. Looking foward to the post season. With the backfield potential Wburg has in Massey and Patrick, along with what Skylar is capable of when he scrambles, that really opens up alot of possibilities with bootlegs and playaction stuff. If it were me and I had that type of backfield, experience, and size offensively, I would have a triple option set as well. Herron is a good coach, I just think he could do more with what he has in regaurds returning to and then winning in Bowling Green. How many seniors does Wburg have this year?
