Watched both teams play, and while both impress me and will make deep runs in the playoffs, I believe this game will be a defensive battle. No high scoring in this one. 14-7 Corbin

47-14 Hounds! I'm tellin ya. Seen both teams play in person multiple times. Corbin will beat bell as bad as they want. Haddix and Greer are the new Corbin coaches and don't fear the Cats of bell at all. Time will tell! If Mills isn't in the hot seat yet he will be when the clock 00:00 in the 4th.. #HHH #Truestory

Mills was not hired by Greer at anytime.

I think Corbin is a good team but some of this is crazy!!!! Besides the 2 pulaski schools who has Corbin played????? I would not get too overzealous. None of those teams will do the things Bell does. Totally different styles.

This game is HIGHLY important.
The winner of this game wins district, and locks up home field for the playoffs.
I think both teams will have an uphill battle with Central, but I don't think Corbin will see them until the region finals.
With all that said, I believe Corbin is a much better team. I don't know if it will translate on the field, but I think it will.

Wow, this game is huge! I can't think of a bigger game this week with so much at stake. Corbin definitely has the better team but they did last year as well. I honestly think this year is different and Corbin is getting better each week. Bell won't be able to stack the box like in the past and they won't out coach this staff...IMO. My big concern is whether Corbin can play as physical as Bell. Make no mistake about it, this is the win that will get this town on board like it was many years ago. I think Corbin gets the job done in a slugfest and wins district. Corbin 20 Bell 14. GO HOUNDS!

We sure need to win this so oldhound70 can jump on the bandwagon.....

I'm going with my BOBCATS, with that being said I think Corbin is and should be the favorite with it being at Corbin and the way they have been playing. I just believe in that Bell Co Defence will make enough plays to get the W. Now I understand that Corbin can spread it out with the pass, but that Bell Co D has went up against it all year. Bell Co 12 Corbin 7

Trust me, I've been bleeding Redhound Red for years and was born on the band wagon. I'm also realistic and not fanatical. I'm for the hounds as much as anyone on here. We have a very good football team. Some on here are ready to crown us state champs already and think Haddix and Greer are Redhound saviors. I hope that happens but we need to stay humble and tough. Except for Pulaski Co and maybe South Western, we are yet to beat a high caliber team. The Bell Co and Knox Central games will tell us how tough and how good we really are. Corbin has more talent than both of those teams and now it's time for a huge gut check. I also love what Haddix is doing, the kids are having fun and he's mixing things up. Relax BCPC...you are way too sensitive. We're on the same team. Go Hounds!

We cheer for the same team..... But the confidence is the difference. Everyone that won a game knew it in their heart it was possible. Knowing you deserve a win is more than half the battle. This game is played with excitement and in your head more than the body. Sayin that, even though we cheer for the same team. I wouldn't want you on the field with me with first and goal, down 6.. This stems from a previous thread when you said you would get on the bandwagon after Corbin won some games..... Not sensitive, just a believer and have high expectations. #change #the #game

Maybe you do.... If you ever get a million it won't be because you haven't thought you have deserved it at some point.
I understand nothing is given, has to be earned. But unless you have a positive mindframe you stand no chance at improvement. My glass is half full tho.... But don't tell me you bleed red or are a true fan and mention jumping on a bandwagon...... A productive/positive fan of the team is for the team and the direction no matter what! Go Greer! Go Haddix! Go Hounds! No more 3 yards and a cloud of dust!

As for the common opponents. The game I seen, the score of the bell/wayne game doesn't accurately reflect how the game went.... Bell didn't dominate Wayne in any phase of the game. The game was neck and neck for 3 full quarters on Log Mtn. Corbin pretty much shut out Wayne. Middlesboro beat bell on log mtn, and Corbin beat middlesboro in scrimmage... All of this will mean nothing come Friday tho.. Corbin is 0-0 against bell with the new regime. Greer will stop the bell o and won't blitz 1 time in the game while calling the play out from the sideline before the ball is snapped. Haddix will spread bell out and run the ball, and throw from the same formation. We can kick it to the end zone as well......

I believe this is the stupidest post I've seen on rivals despite the fact it's from a Redhound fan. To say "knowing you deserve to win is half the battle" is ignorant. Hell son everyone deserves to win. It's those who prepare to win and sacrifice every ounce of energy and their bodies that indeed win. The statement of "This game is played with excitement and in your head more than the body" is crazy. Tell that to those linemen cracking heads every play and linebackers laying the wood to someone every play. Sure, excitement and attitude play a big role but when the buzzer sounds it's the team who prepared, played the most physical, and who had the most talent that USUALLY wins. It's not the team with the most excited players or fans ringing cow bells and making internet posts. I've always been on the REDHOUND bandwagon, but very hesitant to talk State Championship bandwagon. This isn't middle school anymore. Way too many people think we are going to the promised land this year with Haddix. I love what he's doing so far but I just simply want to see how tough we are going to be against Bell, Knox Central, Central, and hopefully Belfry. I'm as happy as the coaching change as anyone but just because I'm not screaming state champs does not mean I don't love the hounds. Heck, I've been in the trenches and I have two rings that I earned. I "deserved" them as much as anyone else but we were just nastier, stronger, and more talented and that's what earned them. Please don't preach to me about being on the field down by 6. Been there done that, got a T shirt and a ring. I'm hoping this year's team does the same. Stay physical and stay humble hounds. I'm rooting for you.
10-12-2014, 06:07 AM
I have rings tshirts jackets as well. You earned your ring differently I suppose we can agree to disagree. Times have changed......the game is different nowadays...
